Good morning from Roda. The temperature dropped to just over 9°C, so feeling very cold when I stepped out in my nightie to take today’s photo. We have clear almost cloudless skies with just a few dotted around to the west. There is a slight breeze and we have a calm looking but noisy sea as the waves break on the shore. The good weather is continuing for a couple more days before another week of rain and storms. It does feel very autumnal early in the morning and during the evening, but when you’re in the sun during the day we have summer back. There were at least eight family groups enjoying the sun around the pool at Theo’s yesterday afternoon, and even a few brave souls in the water. It failed my big toe test as too cold!
The temperature at 9 am on Friday 29th October was 10.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday stayed lovely all day with clear skies for the most part. A few clouds did poke their heads above the horizon, but soon decided they were not wanted. There was hardly any breeze and the sea stayed nice and calm with just very low long waves gently coming ashore. I missed the sunset as I was in the house trying to catch up with my Greek after not doing any whilst I was back in the UK. It must have been a bit hazy as the lights from the mainland seemed a bit muted as I walked back from the rock night at The Sailor. There were even fewer lights on our side of the channel, and everywhere is going to be shut from the 1st, except those businesses that remain open during the winter. It felt very cool at 12.7°C at midnight.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.1°C (real feel 18°C), though my thermometer was reading just under 50°C in full sun on my balcony, and the minimum was 10.2°C.
This day last year started off very nice with almost clear skies and a gentle breeze. The wind picked up bringing with it grey clouds, ominous at times from the north east. The sea got whipped up into sending waves over the road by evening. The clouds moved from the north to the south but stayed ominous. Pretty sunset though feeling cold in the wind. The maximum temperature was 20.9°C and the minimum 12.8°C.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES

Good morning from Roda. And, so this lovely weather continues, even if the nights and early morning are really on the cold side. My car and the grass were covered in condensation again this morning. We have a clear, cloudless sky with barely a hint of a wind and the sea is flat calm and glassy looking. We have to enjoy these last two days of good weather as forecast for next week is wet and stormy!
The temperature at 10 am on Saturday 30th October was 12.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday stayed war, even hot in the full sun, all day with hardly a breath of wind and only small gentle waves coming ashore. I missed the sunset but I did catch a glimpse of a golden glow behind a tracery of thin clouds that had appeared in the west. The evening sky was full of stars and completely moonless. There was a good show of the village lights from across the channel in Albania to join the diminished number of lights around the bay here. Long low waves were gently hitting the shoreline along the beach road. There was hardly any wind, which was a good, because it did feel very cold once that sun had gone down. It was a cool 12.0°C at 11pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.1°C (real feel 18°C), though still feeling very hot when out in full sun, and the minimum was 9.3°C.
This day last year we had a lovely warm start to the day with the 10am temperature a warm 19.3°C. There were very few clouds around and the wind and waves were bith calm. There were a few clouds around, increasing enough in the afternoon to give a stunning sunset. The evening was clear and star lit but the wind and the waves had increased significantly. The maximum temperature was 21.0°C and the minimum 13.0°C.

Good morning from Roda. I hope you all remembered to turn your clocks and watches back one hour and enjoy a bit of a lie-in this morning. We have another lovely sunny day here with almost cloudless skies, the only ones being a small bank of them stuck on the peaks of one of the mainland mountains. There is a bit of a haze such that the mainland is slightly veiled this morning. There is a slight breeze ruffling the surface of the sapphire blue sea. I enjoyed my breakfast, coffee and a read of my book baking in the heat on my sheltered south facing balcony.
The temperature at 10 am on Sunday 31st October was 12.8°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday stayed lovely again all day, there was nothing to complain about and everything to enjoy as a late October day felt more like a summer’s day when in the sun. There was more of a haze blurring the mainland, but there was hardly a breeze all day and the sea remained calm with only very small waves coming ashore. The day slipped into night via quite a fuzzy pink sunset giving us a clear star strewn sky with no sign of a moon. The lights of the mainland shone bright from over the channel, but our bay was rimmed with barely more than a basic setting of street lights as the last businesses closed their doors and switched off their lights for another year. In Roda the lights of the all-inclusive still shone bright as they had their final Greek night on Thursday. The temperature was a chilly 11.5°C at 11pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 17.7°C though still feeling very hot when out in full sun, and the minimum was 8.5°C.
This day last year was a nice warm day. We had clear skies a gentle breeze and a calm sea to begin the day. The wins built up such that by late afternoon we had white capped waves right across the channel. The wind died away quite quickly during the evening but left behind the white capped waves. There was a full but blue moon after a lovely monochromatic sunset. It was a very walm clear night with many lights from the Albanian villages with the temperature 18°C at 10pm! The maximum temperature was 21.0°C and the minimum 13.0°C.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES
My recorded temperatures The highest recorded temp 2021 33.0°C 5th August The lowest recorded temp 2021 1.7°C 19th. January

Good morning from Roda and kalo mena for November. We hope that you all have a marvellous month. It was the tail end of a very pretty dawn when I drew the bedroom curtains. Pink streaky clouds on a powder blue sky. It was a hazy view though with Albania far from clear across the calm sea with a ferry making its way to Igoumenitsa. There is more cloud to the south hiding the sun for long periods. It seems that everyone is burning all their rubbish as it is so smoky across the hills behind me. We are due a lot more rain this week so maybe they are taking advantage of it being dry so far today. Though the morning temperature is higher than yesterday it feels cooler due to that lack of sun.
The temperature at 10 am on Monday 1st November was 13.5°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday stayed lovely all day with clear skies and barely any clouds. Still beautiful and hot in full sun and cool in the shade. The sea stayed calm and the breeze gentle, nothing to spoil a beautiful Halloween. Some clouds appeared as streaks and haze on the western horizon to give a bit of interest to the sunset. Once the sun started to get low in the sky the temperature started to drop rapidly to give us a cold feeling evening when thick coats were essential. My walk through the village for a meal at Pixida and the quiz at Sandy’s was like a winter walk. Nobody about and only a very few places open. I could see that the all-inclusive was now closed with only a few lights still on. I only saw four people during the entire walk! The evening had so many stars with Orion showing itself to me for the first time this year. The haze muted the mainland lights, and dulled the lights around our bay. It was a cold feeling 11.5°C at 12.30am.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.0°C though still feeling hot again when out in full sun, and the minimum was 8.5°C.
This day last year wasn’t so very different from today, streaky clouds and smoky with a calm sea and not much wind. There was a lovely sunset before a lovely night sky with a full moon and lots of stars and mainland lights. The maximum temperature was 20.6°C and the minimum 12.0°C.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES My recorded temperatures The highest recorded temp 2021 33.0°C 5th August The lowest recorded temp 2021 1.7°C 19th. January The official maximum recorded temperature ever in Corfu was 42.8°C With the lowest recorded temperature was -8.8°C. °C

Good morning from Roda. When I got up for a loo visit in the small hours the wind was howling around the building, but all of it on the south side of the building. It was peaceful in my north facing bedroom. It may have been a wild night but it was also warm with the temperature only falling to 16°C. Morning brought a still strong wind and evidence of quite a bit of rain. Albania was just about hidden across the calm sea, and the sun was attempting to find gaps in the clouds as I emerged onto the balcony. The wind is dropping rapidly, and although the sun is failing quite miserably to find a gap in those clouds it is warm at 20°C despite the cloud, so I enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. The very wet week forecast has been replaced by a much drier sunnier week which is good news.
The temperature at 10 am on Tuesday 2nd November was 20.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday started off quite promising after a lovely dawn, but the clouds gathered steadily giving us literally a few drops of rain. I would have missed them completely if I hadn’t wandered out onto the balcony as they spotted the balcony rail! It stayed hazy though all day and the clouds almost completely covered the sky with clouds leaving a rare blue gap. A warm breeze sprung up by the evening pushing up some small waves to try and break the silence we now have with the season finished. The haze dimmed the lights from across the channel as I walked back from the village. It was a very mild 16.7°C at 10pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.0°C and the minimum was 9.3°C.
This day last year was a hazy cloudy day with the sun trying to get through the thin clouds. Albania was emerging from the haze across a sea with gentle waves coming ashore the afternoon got cloudier before clearing for a lovely sunset and to play hide and seek with the moon. The maximum temperature was 20.0°C and the minimum 12.0°C.

Good morning from Roda. This lovely warm spell is continuing and we had a mild night with the temperature dropping to just a shade under 14°C. Morning brought us a scattering of clouds to the north, but they have mostly retreated to nestle on the mountain peaks opposite. To the south there is a thicker collection spilling over our hills behind me. We have plenty of warm sunshine and I could eat breakfast on the south balcony. It was breezy, but at least it felt warm. There is a still quite a haze with Albania barely a presence across the calm channel. We are due more days like this with the forecast temperature to reach 25°C!
The temperature at 10 am on Wednesday 3rd November was 18.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday after the very wet and windy night leaving quite big puddles around, the day was dry and the wind rapidly faded away. The clouds started breaking up in the morning and the sun got to shine for a good length of time. However, the clouds decided to make a comeback and we lost that sun as the blue bits didn’t coincide with where the sun was. The clouds did eventually admit defeat and cleared away, remaining in clumps on the edges. The sunset tinged them all pinks and greys to give a very pretty end to the day. The breeze stayed kind and the waves remained quite small, coming ashore on beaches exposed by the low sea level at the moment. It was a mild but hazy evening with a good scattering of clouds, with only the brightest stars showing. Very fuzzy Albanian lights across the channel, adding to the few that we are left with. It was a mild 16.7°C at 11pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 21.6°C and the minimum was 16.3°C.
This day last year we had very thin light cloud with a hazy sun managing to shine through it. The clouds did break up giving better sunny spells. The sea was flat calm and there was barely a breath of wind. There was a stunning sunset due to the clouds. Only a few stars in the evening sky but plenty of mainland lights. The maximum temperature was 20.2°C and the minimum 13.0°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. I apologise for my late report but the Wellie Walker group has reformed now the season is over. Our first walk this morning was supposed to be from Avlaki on the other side of Kassiopi to San Stephanos. We are not walkers and it was supposed to be a gentle mostly flat walk. But it wasn’t, it was very much a challenge with steep rough parts to the track. I managed to get to Akoli beach, where there is a lake behind the beach, which was fine because Steve and I had often wanted to find it. A few of us scrambled back to the car and went for a reviving glass of wine in Kassiopi. Dawn was very pretty, I took the photo from my bedroom door and sat in bed with my cup of tea watching world wake up. Albania was quite clear across a calm looking sea that was a bit noisy as it hit the shore here. The clouds cleared very quickly to give a mostly clear sky with clouds restricted to the edges. It is already warm for the time of day and is supposed to reach 25°C later on.
The temperature at 9 am on Wednesday 4th November was 18.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday was mostly very hazy with a build up of clouds in the afternoon. The sea stayed calm with only gentle waves coming ashore, even as the southerly wind increased. It did get very breezy at on point bring with it a lot of clouds and prolonged dull spell. The winds eased and the clouds cleared to give a very nice end to the day. Those winds did seem fit to get stronger in the evening, but they were warm winds with the late evening temperature 19°Cat 11pm. We had a mixed sky with plenty of both stars and clouds.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 20.1°C and the minimum was 13.6°C.
A very pretty evening sky caught from the edge of my south balcony.
This day last year wasn’t a bad day, hazy with not much wind and a pretty calm sea with noisy waves coming ashore. There were clouds around but we had a hot sunny day. There was a mackerel sky by the time the sun was setting to give us a lovely end to the day. It was a dark hazy night with few stars or mainland lights. It was a mild 16°C at 10pm. The maximum temperature was 20.2°C and the minimum 13.0°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. What a wild night! The wind had gusts of 40 kmph around 25mph. It was also such a hot wind with the temperature barely dropping to 23°C. I was up at 3am closing the shutters that had sprung from the clips, anything that was out of place would have to wait till the morning. There were so many thumps and bangs that I just ignored. It was still very windy when I emerged from my room and opened the doors to see what damage there had been. One of the chairs on my balcony had been lifted up by the wind, carried over the various plant pots I have on the balcony, it must have hit the table at the end before tumbling down the stairs, where I found it unharmed! There was quite a haze attempting to hide the mainland from view, with only the closest portion visible as a block of grey. The sea was flat calm with low waves coming ashore to make a bit of a noise. We did have some clouds around and good patches of blue, but it settled into thin cloud that allowed the sun to shine through.
The temperature at 10 am on Thursday 5th November was 24.2°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2/3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday the early morning clouds soon cleared to give lots of sunshine. This lasted well into the afternoon, before we saw a gathering of dark ominous looking clouds to the north but much thinner ones to the south allowing the sun to shine. It was so hot during the day a couple of my friends had a swim off Akoli beach, I just paddled as I forgot to take my swimsuit. The wind steadily increased during the afternoon and started to blow balcony furniture about and tug at the clips for the shutters. The sea turned amazing shades of emerald and sapphire blue before we got a good sunset with the sun turning a large cloud into gold. We suffered the continuing high winds in the evening under a cloudy sky with only a few stars brave enough to show themselves. It was a very warm feeling 23°C at 10pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 24.2°C and the minimum was 16.2°C.
A rather beautiful cloud just catching the gold of the setting sun.
This day last year was a very hazy day with plenty of clouds and only a few blue patches. These did increase in the afternoon to give more sunshine. Albania was mostly hidden in this haze though. The sky did partially clear after a muted sunset to allow some stars to shine. The day had a warm feeling about it. The maximum temperature was 20.4°C and the minimum 15.4°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was a warm night with the temperature only dropping to 21°C. I awoke to a pretty dappled sky but the clouds clumped together to give a partial covering of thin ones. So, we have plenty of warm sunshine, a gentle breeze and a calm looking sea with noisy waves coming ashore. It was a bit too warm on the sunny balcony so I set up the table and chairs again on the shady north balcony for my breakfast with a temperature around 23°C. We have another day after today to enjoy these hot sunny days before it all cools down and the rain starts. So I am busy trying to get all my washing done and dry before then.
The temperature at 10 am on Saturday 6th November was 22.3°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2/3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday was a lot less windy after the gales of the previous night. In fact, by the afternoon, it was almost breezeless. There were clouds around, but they were of the thin variety that really don’t interfere with the sun. So, we enjoyed a hot halcyon day pinching ourselves that it was the 5th November. The sea was calm though we had floppy waves close to shore. Enjoying coffee with friends at Fuego on the beach at Acharavi we watched several people going in for a swim. I missed the sunset somehow but the evening sky was quite cloudy with only a couple of stars able to show their faces. It was a warm 22°C at 10pm. I went to bed early after the walk yesterday and the walk to Acharavi and back.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 25.1°C and the minimum was 22.8°C.
This day last year started off fairly cloudy but they soon disappeared to give us a calm clear sunny day with good views of the mainland. The sea was calm and the wind gentle until it stiffened a bit in the afternoon. We had a half moon and many stars after a so-so sunset. It felt a chilly 14°C at midnight. The maximum temperature was 20.4°C and the minimum 15.4°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was a much cooler night with the temperature dropping down to a lowly 16°C. The early morning scattered light cloud melted away quite fast once the sun got into its stride. I enjoyed my breakfast on the shady balcony as it was too warm on the south facing one. As I write this it is 20°C in the shade but a whopping 47°C on that south balcony! We have much less of a haze so the mainland with quite a bit of detail has emerged from across the channel. There is barely any wind and the sea looks a bit ruffled but calm and all but silent. I have the second load of washing in, first one out on the line and all the door open. I’m taking advantage of the good weather while I can. I have not even had the need to change my water heating from solar onto electric yet. On beautiful autumn days like this I would like visitors to experience deserted beaches and groves pink with wild cyclamen. There have been reports of early narcissus and snowdrops, even as we have the autumn colours of the deciduous trees.
The temperature at 10 am on Sunday 7th November was 18.5°C.
The reported UV for Today is 3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday after the early morning dappled cloud gave way to much clearer skies the clouds fought back to give us a complete covering by the end of the afternoon. We did enjoy a long spell of sunshine though and I got both loads of washing dry. We reached unseasonably high temperatures during the afternoon reaching almost 27°C! The more normal temperature would be around 20°C! There had some very gusty spells in the afternoon, wrapping my washing around the line! Sunset could only be detected by a flush of peach on some of the thinner clouds. The high temperatures did ease with the minimum temperature for the day being around 19°C at 10pm. I didn’t check after that as I had another early night.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 26.6°C (that is not a typo!) and the minimum dawn temperature was 20.8°C, whilst it dropped to 19.2°C by 10pm.
This day last year was a clear and sunny day for the first day of lockdown. There a minimal haze with a calm but ruffled sea with small waves breaking as they hit the shore. The early morning breeze eased during the day. We had a stunning monochromatic sunset with masses of stars. The maximum temperature was 20.0°C and the minimum 10.0°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. I can only apologise for my late report, but I have joined this walking group and we did a walk from Maistro in Acharavi to the beach at Gialiskari, just before St Spyridon beach coming from Almyros. I did a total of 17,300 steps and now have sore feet! The view from my apartment showed thin streaky clouds and fairly clear views of the mainland with only a slight haze. The skies quickly cleared to give barely any clouds as we walked along the beach and over the headland to our target beach. It was not the easiest to get into the sea from but I did enjoy a bit of a swim.
The temperature at 9 am on Monday 8th November was 18.1°C.
The reported UV for Today is 3 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday we had clear skies and barely a sight of any clouds except a few around the edges. The sea was calm and there was barely a breeze as I walked to Acharavi with friends. There was a monochromatic sunset leading onto a clear star strewn night sky with a lovely sliver of a crescent moon adding interest. My walk back from the village was very pleasant with plenty of lights on the mainland, the tiny waves lapping gently on the shore and a mild feel to the night with the temperature at 10pm a pleasant 16°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 21.7°C and the minimum temperature was 16.0°C.
This day last year we had clear skies with almost no haze for the morning. The wind was gentle and the sea calm, and it stayed that way for the rest of the day. We got some cloud build up in the afternoon to give one or two cloudy spells. There was a muted sunset leading onto a cool feeling evening with 14°C the reading at 10pm.

Good morning from Roda. It was quite a mild night with the temperature only dropping to just a shade under 16°C. I awoke to the tail end of a slightly pink dawn with a few traces of blue but then it clouded over completely. It is such a calm quiet morning with no sounds from the sea and no a whisper of any wind. The mainland has gone absent from the other side of the channel. It was warm enough to enjoy my breakfast on the south balcony. Since I have sat down to write this the sun is making a determined effort to break through those clouds and shine, and is succeeding brilliantly.
The temperature at 10 am on Tuesday 9th November was 19.5°C.
It was cloudier than it looks here, some of those blue shades were actually grey!
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday we had a lovely morning with lots of almost clear skies and just a few clouds coming and going. It did get cloudier during the afternoon but the sun did make its way through though for a while. But by the time the sunset was due we had a complete covering and it stayed cloudy for the rest of the evening. There was no wind and a very calm and silent sea with the temperature a very mild 18.6°C at 10pm. I had a very early night as I was shattered after the walk. But it was so good and I felt good to have done the whole route.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 21.1°C and the minimum temperature was 14.0°C.
A couple of shots from that walk.
This day last year after a cool night we had a good start to the day with clear skies, no wind and a calm sea. Clouds did gather for the sunset which was a bit of a non-event. We had a cool but cloudy evening. The maximum temperature was 18.6°C and the minimum was 10.7°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was another mild night probably due to the amount of cloud cover we had. We still had 100% cover when I peered through the curtains. Venturing onto the balconies we had lost the mainland through all the haze and there was just a hint of the sun attempting to be seen through all those clouds. The sea was calm and silent and there was barely any hint of a wind. It was still mild enough to enjoy my breakfast on the balcony in my nightie, long may it last. We are due to have a couple more sunny days after today then light rain forecast for next week. But there again we were due rain, heavy at times, for this week and we haven’t had a single drop!
The temperature at 10 am on Wednesday 10th November was 18.2°C.
The nespolla (loquat) tree in full bloom behind the autumnal leaves of the plane tree.
That green overgrown patch was Steve’s lovely garden. My landlord is now strimming it. It is difficult not to be heartbroken with the sight.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday started off very cloudy, with the sun breaking through by mid-morning. The skies almost cleared for the afternoon with only thin streaks of clouds loitering around. The late afternoon saw low clouds wrapping themselves around the mountain tops behind me, with thicker streaky clouds assembling to the west. There were enough to give quite a lovely, if brief, sunset. The evening was extremely hazy and smoky with only a few stars strong enough to be seen through the murk. We did get a small crescent moon decorating the sky before setting. It was a mild evening though with the temperature a pleasant 18°C at 10pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 20.8°C and the minimum temperature was 15.7°C.
This day last year we had cloudless blue skies and a light haze. It stayed that way apart from a few stray clouds that gathered in the west. We had a very pink sunset before a dark, clear and cold night. It was a lowly 13°C in the late evening. The maximum temperature was 18.7°C and the minimum was 10.9°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. Now I have started joining in with a walking group I am not always organised enough to get my report done before I have to leave for them. Twelve of us gathered at Sidari and enjoyed a walk along to Canal D’Amour and along to Peroulades before walking back. We were taken passed one of the few complete windmills on the island. Our group held a two minutes silence in a bar in Sidari at 1pm our time to respect Armistice Day.
After another mild night I awoke to a pretty dawn of pink fluffy clouds and stunning views of the mainland. There was barely a breeze and the sea very calm and barely making a sound. The pretty clouds stayed with us during the morning but didn’t get in the way of the sun. The day was turning out almost identical to the same day last year. Beautiful weather for 11th November.
The temperature at 9 am on Thursday 11th November was 15.6°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday stayed almost entirely cloudy with Albania being lost in the dense haze we had, although the number of bonfires around the hill didn’t help with the amount of smoke they were producing. The sun did make valiant attempts to be seen behind the clouds, producing at most a pale lemon ball shape! There were enough breaks in the clouds in the afternoon for some sunny spells, but the clouds soon returned. They were sufficient to make a quite beautiful sunset, but the evening sky was all cloud. It was very mild though with the late evening temperature 17°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 20.3°C and the minimum temperature was 15.7°C.
This day last year we started off with a lovely dawn of pink clouds on a blue background. It stayed lovely all day, with the mainland very clear, no wind and a calm sea, and only ever a few clouds. The maximum temperature was 19.6°C and the minimum was 9.1°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. I am sorry for the late report. This time I had a trip to the hairdressers and then I took Dave to Sidari to see his accountant to pay his land taxes, and to do some shopping. Back to the weather. It was a cool night with the temperature down to a cool 13°C at dawn. We had a pretty dappled sky, with the clouds still tinged with pink. There were good spells of sunshine, and I enjoyed breakfast on the balcony but I did have to put my dressing gown on. The sea was flat calm and silent in front of a fairly clear mainland. There was also barely a breeze to stir the trees either. The clouds did increase during the morning though to start to give us cloudy spell. But it felt lovely and warm when the sun did shine.
The temperature at 9am on Friday 12th November was 14.0°C.

Yesterday was mostly a lovely sunny day with pretty dappled clouds around in the morning, not interfering with the sun. There was barely a breeze and the sea was very calm in front of a very clear Albania. The clouds did increase in the afternoon to give some dull spells, but clearing enough to give a pretty sunset. Evening brought us a half moon playing hide-and-seek with the clouds. There was quite a scattering of stars adding to the picture. But it was very cool due to the clearer skies with the late evening temperature only 15°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 19.1°C ( reading in the high 30’s in the sun) and the minimum temperature was 15.0°C.
This day last year started off with clear skies to the north, but the clouds swept in to give a very long dull spell, but the skies di mostly clear by the sunset and to give us a cool night. The maximum temperature was 17.9°C and the minimum was 10.8°C.
