Good afternoon from Roda. I am sorry that my report is late but I went to Brian Morrow’s funeral at our little church here, then the burial at Sfakera. It was a cold night with the temperature a measly 7.0°C at its lowest. I opened the curtains to a glorious view of snow-capped mountains against a lovely blue sky with just a few threads of clouds, the sea between us a turquoise with a deep blue band in front of the mainland. The colour of the sea was enhanced by white topped waves for as far as the eye could see, those waves being driven by a particularly vicious cold wind. It even managed to swirl around my south, normally sheltered balcony. The clouds have increase steadily during the morning. The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 24th March was 11.1°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was mostly a cloudy day with not much haze to hide the mainland. Whilst we were under the clouds it was annoying to see the snow fields opposite sometimes catching the sun! There were spits and spots of rain in the early afternoon here in Roda, but more pronounced drizzle was experienced at Almyros at the end of the bay. The skies did clear somewhat towards the early evening, and we got a prolonged display of changing colours to the north west with them changing from pinks to oranges until eventually fading to black. The late evening check showed mostly clear skies with a good scattering of stars, feeling chilly at 9.6°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 11.8°C real feel 12°C and the minimum was 7.0°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Monday 23rdmaximum 14.7c minimum 12.6C. Day of full cloud and a chill wind, gusting at times as it had done through the night. Signs of more snow on Albania when northern peaks came into view. A light shower from 7:45 until around 11am. Small white tops as the wind continued. A few spots of rain mid afternoon came to nothing and it brightened and we actually had a sunset...only time any sun of note all day. The sky was yellow with pink on the clouds for about 15 minutes. Strongish wind most of the night,
Tuesday 24th maximum 13.8c minimum 8.9c. Plenty clouds and chill wind, mostly grey but bit clearer to NE and E. Some early sun. Slowly the clouds became individual and whiter and kept passing in the winds giving us a mostly sunny but chilly afternoon. After 3:30 the winds eased and the clouds reduced further giving us a nice late afternoon and sunset; which was bright yellow. Early night was starlit but there was signs of a large bank of clouds to the N, NW.
Wednesday 25th is a public holiday here; Greek Independence Day (all events cancelled) and also a big day in Church (again cancelled). Dawn shows almost full cloud cover and much greyer from the West, SW. A rather bad weather front is due to pass today and tomorrow with plenty of rains.....we will see.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES 2020 The maximum shade temperature recorded by me in Roda in 2020 was 31.0°C on 1st. August. The minimum shade temperature recorded by me in Roda in 2020 was -1.4°C. 8th. January.

Good morning from Roda. It was a cold night with the temperature dropping to 5.5°C with a low level of humidity. It was stunning again first thing this morning with cloudless blue skies and stunning view of the fresh snow on the mountain peaks opposite. The wild seas of yesterday have eased to looking calm out in the channel but we still have waves coming ashore. There was a wicked little wind that made everything feel a bit chilly out on the balconies, despite the sun. Now the sky is getting veiled in thin clouds masking the sun. Not the best news as I have two winter weight jumpers in the wash! Strangely the overnight maximum was nearly 12°C on my sensor!
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 25th March was 10.4°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was a very windy day feeling very cold if exposed to the full force of it. The sea was wild all day with spectacular waves right across the channel, looking spectacular. It did get steadily more cloudy during the day but never really hiding the sun for long. There was a very pretty sunset with many of the clouds being painted pink all around the sky. In the west there was a blaze of gold shining out from under the clouds there. The clouds continued to cover the sky so there were no stars at my late evening check, the wind had eased but not the sea. It was a mild 10.8°C, feeling cooler.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 13.2°C real feel 12°C and the minimum was 5.5°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was another very cold night here with the temperature falling to 3.5°C, with parts of the island recording negative figure of around -2°C! On the plus side we had clear blue skies first thing with hardly any haze to spoil the view of the mainland. The sea was nice and calm with barely audible waves. The wind had died right away and left us with just a gentle breeze. It was too cold despite the sun for breakfast on the balcony. Though I think if Steve were here, I would have, but it was certainly more than warm enough for a coffee break around 11. The cloud-free sky didn’t last long and we are seeing clouds gathering and sometimes hiding the sun. It is so cold when that sun goes.
The temperature at 10am on Friday 26th March was 9.5°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was mostly sunny all day with cold winds from over the mainland snow fields gathering strength as the afternoon wore on. We got a thin veil of cloud which didn’t put too much of a damper on the sun, but that strong wind in the afternoon certainly did! The wind whipped the waves up , though not as much as the day before. It was certainly bracing as I walked along the beach road to Acharavi and back, though as soon as I turned my back on the sea and headed up road 6 it was nice and warm. I meant to take photos on the way back but a pressing need for the bathroom hastened my steps! The winds blew all the clouds away by sunset and we had a lovely but very typical monochromatic one with a deep band of orange right across the western sky. The late evening check showed an almost full moon riding high amongst a sprinkling of the brighter stars. It was still very windy with very noisy waves crashing on the shoreline. It was 10°C at 10.30pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 12.6°C real feel 13°C and the minimum was 9.0°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Wednesday 25th maximum 14.9c minimum 5.1c. A day of full cloud cover. Early it was much greyer to the SW, W and NW and there was a light wind. It slowly brightened and from 11am until the early afternoon there were patches of sun. The wind eased and it was pleasant working in the garden. By mid-afternoon it was full cloud cover and it remained that way the rest of the day.
Thursday 26th; Maximum 18.9c, minimum 9.3c. There was a shower around 3am and a strong gusting wind. Woke to find plenty of cloud around and a choppy looking sea. A bit of sun from 8am but still very windy and lots of passing grey clouds; Whilst the sun shone, we had a 5 minute light shower at 11am. After 1pm the cloud began to thicken and the wind eased. By 4pm the wind had almost stopped and it was looking stormy and getting greyer as night began to fall. It started to rain at around 7:45 as a light shower and continued for the rest of the day with just the odd small break; mind you it never got heavy.
Friday 27th; maximum 16.1c minimum 11.2c. It was still raining lightly at dawn and almost stopped at 9am but continued as the lightest of drizzle until around midday. It brighten a little and there was another short light shower at 2pm. After 3:30 there was a bit of sun but it was mainly cloudy and there was a light wind' the wind picked up as did the clouds and they were much greyer later afternoon but due to a clear patch to the distant west we still had a brief sunset. Then it suddenly started to clear and by 8pm we had a clear sky to the NW, W and SW with plenty of stars and a bright crescent moon to the West. It co ntinued to become more starlit as the clouds all moved away.

Good morning from Roda. It was a slightly warmer night, hopefully we have seen the last of them for this winter. It was another beautiful start to the day with a mostly clear sky towards the north with just a fringe of clouds clinging to the mountain tops opposite, from which most of the snow has gone. To the south we have more inoffensive cotton wool type clouds which are thickening a bit with a hint of grey as the day gets older. There is a bit of a haze so the mainland isn’t that clear across a calm looking but slightly ruffled sea. There is a bit of a chilly breeze that chased me onto the south balcony from the front one. They are world apart. I had my breakfast out there shedding my dressing gown as it was way too hot.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 27th March was 11.5°C. Real feel 11°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was another really nice day with practically wall to wall sunshine. There were a few more clouds temporarily in the afternoon which hit the sun such that you felt that cool breeze, especially on the beach road. Away from the beach it felt very warm and the gilet got opened up. The end of the afternoon saw all the clouds disappear, but there was enough of a haze to make the sunset very fuzzy but still monochromatic. With early pinks and lilacs turning more pale orange. The night sky was so clear with an almost full moon that rose in the afternoon and was flying high in the sky amidst a scattering of clouds at my late evening check. There was still a bit of a breeze so feeling a cold 8.8°C in the breeze
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.2°C real feel 15°C and the minimum was 3.5°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was again a slightly warmer night, giving way to a very pretty pastel pink dawn as I opened the curtains. Later, when the eyes were properly open and after the essential cup of tea, I saw that we had quite a lot of very thin veiling cloud just taking the edge off the sun’s power. It was a calm still world with a wave-less sea and barely any wind to stir the palm trees. I enjoyed my breakfast on the balcony listening to the lovely sound of all the birds busy with nesting. It was again way too hot for my fluffy winter dressing gown.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 28th March was 10.3°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 5 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was a sunny day, very hot in the sun. I was peeling off layers as I was sorting all Steve’s seeds out. I was down to a bikini top at one point. A few clouds did come and go but never getting in the way of the sun’s rays. The breeze stayed very light and the sea calm all day. There was a gathering of thin clouds at the end of the afternoon, which, combined with the haze left us with a bit of a non-event of a sunset. The night sky saw a full moon back-lighting a few low -lying clouds and allowing a few brighter stars to shine. There were so many Scops owls beeping away, breeding season must be in full flow. The temperature was a slightly warmer 10.8°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.8°C real feel 16°C and the minimum was 6.0°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. I am sorry about the late report but a friend suggested a shopping trip and I couldn’t refuse. I also enjoyed a lovely take away coffee, a rare treat for me. Plant shopping got forgotten as we had a good catch up, after buying a few things from Xpose. Anyway, back to the weather. It was a cool night but the morning brought us lovely warmer weather with the 10am temperature a pleasant 12°C. We had lovely blue skies with mere threads of a few clouds. There were hazy views of the mainland with the snows fast disappearing from the high peaks. The sea was flat calm and the wind barely there. It looked as though the view had been painted in watercolours. Breakfast was enjoyed basking in the mid-morning heat. Dressing gown is definitely not a requirement now, and I think the fluffy slippers are going to get replaced with flip-flops any day now.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 29th March was 12.0°C. Real feel 12°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was yet another sunny day with barely any clouds for most of the day. Feeling extremely warm in any sheltered spot as there was a bit of a cool wind playing around in the afternoon. We got a few grey clouds gathering around our mountain tops towards late afternoon but they saw sense and disappeared by the time of sunset. The haze persisted all day trying to hide the mainland from us, but failing. The sea was such a deep shade of blue in the afternoon. I just had to stop and stare. The haze turned the sunset into a very fuzzy collection of pinks, peaches with a golden glow in the western sky.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 17.5°C real feel 18°C and the minimum was 8.1°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Saturday 28th; maximum 18.2c minimum 8.9c. Chill after clear night and clouds are around to N, NE, W and SW. Albania has had more snow along its peaks; the sun is up but hazy. Light winds getting bit stronger in afternoon; always some sun as clouds pass, and about 65% cloud at sunset. Thereafter some stars visible.
Sunday 29th, maximum 18.2c minimum 11.0c. Some grey clouds around but early sun on coast. Albania lots sea fog. Chill light wind; clouds pass slowly but decrease as wind drops in afternoon. Bright yellow sunset. Star and moon lit night.
Monday 30th. Maximum 18.8c minimum 9.6c. Lots of sea fog but sun rose and despite passing fluffy white clouds was a sunny day with a light wind. Starlit night.
Today 31st; lots of sea fog; only nearest bit of Albania clear early; and even a fog over out lower olive groves. The Sun did rise but was gone by 9am. we had later sunny periods and they increased as the day passed. Only a light breeze so very pleasant out in garden......I am only out now as I hd a fall in garden and cut my head open so pop up village in look of some help!!!!!

Good afternoon from Roda. The report for today is very late due to me having to go to the alien police in town to start getting my new biometric residency permit. It was painless as I had everything they wanted; plus, photocopies of stuff they might have needed but didn’t ask for. I have to wait a few weeks for the paper work to be process they another trip to town for my fingerprints to be taken and then a third trip to actually pick up my card. It was also the first trip into town with my new little car, a bit different from driving the motorhome! The morning felt cool but it was almost 10°C at 8am when I set off to pick my friend up. There was a bit of a haze towards the mainland with thin streaky clouds across the sky. There was still snow showing brilliant white in the sun. The sea was calm and there was a hint of a breeze. The weather was mostly good though it did get a little cloudy when we set off back from town, but it was gorgeous here when we got back. The sea was flat calm and there was a little breeze that felt a little cool if it caught you in the shade. The wild flowers and the trees in blossom were stunning with the roadside verges a colourful mass of flowers, the picture was complemented by the judas trees, the fruit trees and great swathes of mimosa in fill bloom, not to mention the purple sweet scent blooms of wisteria.
The temperature at 8am on Tuesday 30th March was 9.7°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
A couple of photos of a pretty church and its very full cemetery not far from the police station in town.
Yesterday was a lovely warm sunny day especially if you had a sheltered spot where the temperature climbed to hot enough to chase you inside at times. The morning sea was calm as was the wind. The afternoon saw the wind steadily build up whipping the sea into a very noisy mass of white horses for as far as the eye could see. The wind did reduce some of the haze that we had had in the morning, but didn’t manage to disperse it completely. When it got to the time for the sun to be put to bed any accumulated clouds had almost gone completely but there was enough haze to make the sunset a bit of a fuzzy non- event. The night sky was mostly clear with the full moon and the brighter stars shining in a mostly clear sky.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 16.7°C real feel 17°C and the minimum was 8.1°C.
My first attempt using the night time setting for night photographs. Am quite pleased with the results.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Saturday 28th; maximum 18.2c minimum 8.9c. Chill after clear night and clouds are around to N, NE, W and SW. Good morning from Roda. And oh, what a morning! We have cloudless blue skies, a calm looking sea with noisy waves coming ashore, and a gentle wind. Breakfast was on the balcony enjoying the early morning heat of the sun. Then a rush of activity as I stripped the bed and hung the duvets and mattress topper over the balcony to air whilst the machine washes the bedding. Using the de-humidifier a lot more this year, and it certainly seems to have prevented almost all of the appearance of mold. I also routinely hang the duvets etc out to air, and of course windows and doors are open as much as possible. Insulation and my apartment don’t go in the same sentence, they were built as summer holiday homes, but with a bit of common sense they can be warm and comfortable in the winter. I use a mix of gas and electric heaters and my faithful hot water bottle.
The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 31st March was 13.8°C. Real feel 14°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was a lovely day, as was much of the UK I was reading. We did have some clouds around at times but they never got in the way of the sun doing its job. It did get a bit windy in the afternoon with the sea showing the beginnings of white horses. However, as soon as they started the wind dropped and calm returned. It was a cloudless sky that saw the sun go to its bed. As I was on the balcony taking the photos I was amazed at the sheer number of bats flying around. Again, I experimented with the night setting to try and get a more realistic photo of the event. A slight improvement, I think. The moon hadn’t risen into view when I did my late-night check, but there were plenty of stars to be seen. It was a very mild (for this time of year) 13°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.7°C real feel 19°C and the minimum was 9.5°C.
That fuzzy strea is a bat not a smudge on the lens.

Good morning from Roda. The amazing weather continues. I thought we had another cloudless sky, but a thorough check found a couple of miniscule ones, so I’m ignoring them. There is still quite a haze towards the mainland, but the snowy peaks are still there. The sea is calm and a its lovely shade of blue with quiet waves coming ashore. There is just a gentle breeze stirring the foliage of the palm and eucalyptus trees. Dressing gown dispensed with for breakfast on the balcony, not to self I must find my summer weight stuff. Going to check out the garden centres to see what plants they have, though not going to be getting the volume that Steve used to get. I have enough home-made tomato sauce to last me this year, that’s with out all the tomato and chilli jams!
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 1st April was 13.0°C. Real feel 13°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was just a perfect day with a cloudless sky from dawn until dusk. It was beautiful and warm from the moment I opened the door at 9am until the time I shut it at 7.30pm. I was sitting out enjoying a cup of tea after my walk around the village with no need of a cardigan right up until that time. The morning and evening had only a very gentle wind and a calm sea, but during the afternoon we saw a breeze getting up and ruffling the surface of the sea, just enough to give a hint of white horses. The general haze prevented the sunset being anything other a soft glow of pinks and lilacs and of muted oranges. The night sky was dark, as the moon is a late riser at the moment, but with a good scattering of bright stars. It was almost a balmy 14.5°C at 10.30pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.0°C real feel 18°C and the minimum was 7.8°C.
A very blurred photo of a local fisherman getting ready to go out to lay his nets.
So excited to see the blossom starting on the peach tree in the garden, always miss it as never here to see it.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Tuesday 31st March maximum 18.3c minimum 10.8c. Early morning fog over olive groves and the sea; could ony just see it from balcony and only one bit of Albania was visible. Higher clouds to the NE and around but the sun did rise. In fact we had a mainly sunny morning despite the clouds and the sunless intervals were on the whole short. The afternoon was more sunny and there was a light wind. Towards sunset it began to cloud over and looked very threatening; in fact in the evening we heard thunder but this time there was no rain.
Wednesday 1st. maximum 13.2c minimum was 9.3c. This was a topsy turvy day of full cloud and a chill wind. Much more sea fog and cloud cover was full. The rains began at 9:45 and it was heavy for a while but stopped by 10:20 after a few claps of thunder. It started to clear by 11am so I could see the sea again. However the day was just getting colder; dawn it was 12.8c, by midday it was 11.2, by 1pm 10.8c and by 3pm it was 9.3C!! Another shower, short and heavy at 3pm saw the weather change as it cleared and we had some sun after 4pm for about half an hour during which the temperature rose. More clouds came in and it was raining again before 6pm briefly before a bit more sun before it set. Another half hour shower came around 7:30pm. After it stopped the clouds remained very grey but passed as a strong wind picked up that remained with us through till the early hours.
Thursday, 2nd. maximum 16.5c minimum 7.2c. A chilly mostly cloudless star. The News showed us considerable snowfalls (over 6 inches in places) in Northern Greece and we could again see fresh snow on Albania. It remained a sunny day, always a wind that was rather chilly and it became more gusting during the afternoon, before easing after 4pm. The passing afternoon clouds seem to hand around over Pantocrator but we had sun until it set and a starlit night.

Good morning from Roda. We had a hint this morning that the weather is changing. We are forecast to get more days of rain and even a storm and a couple of spells of high winds. My first peek through the windows showed a dawn all pretty in pink. I only get the tail end of a dawn as the main event is blocked. But we did have a thin layer of cloud and haze that obscured the mainland across a very calm and silent sea. By the time my eyes were fully open and I had a good look around, we did have more defined clouds to the south peeking behind the hills. It was a much warmer night with the temperature comfortably in double figures. Again, breakfast was had on the balcony with the crossword, I haven’t finished yesterday’s one yet! There is just a bit of a breeze stirring the trees, so all-in-all it will still be a very acceptable day.
The temperature at 10am on Friday 2nd April was 13.7°C. Real feel 14°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
Yesterday was another really lovely day, with abundant very warm sunshine and no clouds marring the sky. The afternoon did see a bit of a breeze spring up but it died away for the evening. It was another evening when you could sit out comfortably with maybe a light cardigan until the time the sun was seeking its bed. The sunset was just another very muted affair due to the persistent haze, which had blurred our view of the mainland for most of the day. The night sky was dark with a scattering of stars across it. The moon isn’t playing at night at the moment. It was a mild 14°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 17.7°C real feel 18°C and the minimum was 8.6°C.

The lovely weather is definitely on its way out. It was another warmer night, but opening the eyes and the curtains saw a very cloudy sky with still some decent areas of blue, but the sun was avoiding them. I tried to eat my breakfast on the balcony, but the lack of sun chased me in. When I next ventured out after my shower a nasty little wind had sprung up and I got chased back inside again. We are now getting a glimpse of the sun, but rain is due by teatime. The sea though is very calm and a pretty turquoise colour in front of an almost absent mainland. I see that the reported UV for today has gone up to 7, so when that sun shines you really do feel it starting to burn.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 3rd April was 14.7°C. Real feel 15°C.
The reported UV for Today is 7 (Range 1- 11+).
UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday started off with a few clouds which did increase during the day, but never getting in the way of that lovely sun. I had a very pleasant interlude at the garden centre at Almyros buying pretty flowers for my stairs. I could hear Steve in my ear moaning about the lack of tomato and cucumber plants in my purchase! But I will be buying some but not for a few weeks as the nights are still a bit chilly, especially so close to the sea. By the time we got to the sunset most of the clouds had melted away but that haze was still with us. Meaning that the sunset was very fuzzy and another non-event though we got a long-lasting pink tinge to the sky. The late-night check showed a dark sky and some bright stars scattered around. It was a mild 14.5°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 17.7°C real feel 18°C and the minimum was 11.3°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave)
Friday 3rd Max 13.1c, min 7.6c. Was a cold chilly very cloudy start to the day. It stayed that way with very light drizzle or just spot soft rain in the morning. It rained lightly from 13:15 constantly until gone 21:30.
Saturday 4th Max 18.9c, min 10.1c. woke to rain but it stopped by 8am, sun was out by 10am. Passing clouds gave hazy sun and some shade but the sunny intervals were very short, initially. Bit longer in afternoon and a gusting breeze turning to a light wind. After losing the sun at 5pm it returned shortly after until sunset as the big grey bank of clouds stayed mainly below the level of the sun. Partial starlit night.
Sunday 5th Max 17.8c min 12.1c. Almost full cloud at dawn but some of it thin. It was a nice morning and the sun broke through, albeit hazy. Around 13:30 the clouds thickened but we had more good sunshine after 17:00 until just gone 19:00 when the clouds finally won the day.

Good morning from Roda. Happy Easter to everyone from a very cloudy Roda. Hope you have a lovely day despite the restrictions we are having to live under. Hopefully we will get to see many of you here in the summer. I took this a couple of days ago of a tamarisk tree just starting to bloom beside the harbour carpark. Steve and Kostas from Roda Park planted these just before we met, a permanent reminder, and his favourite tree.
This morning was one of those very still, grey but quite bright days. The photo doesn’t do it justice. There wasn’t much of a wind to stir things up and the calm sea was just whispering as it hit the shore. We had a slightly clearer view of the mainland. As I stood on my balcony enjoying the inland view with distant splashes of purple amongst the olive trees of the Judas flowers, all I could hear was bird song, no man-made noise. Peace perfect peace. We didn’t get the forecast light rain, and what rain there was to be in the coming week has lessened, but the winds have increased over one or two days.

Yesterday was a good day despite the clouds trying to get in the way. The morning clouds did almost completely go, just loitering on the edges and we had good long spells of sunshine. The wind did get up though in the afternoon with very strong gusts at times. Then the clouds returned by the late afternoon, with a real feeling it might rain, but it never happened. It just stayed mild and cloudy for the rest of the day. It was still feeling warm at my late night check but with a complete cloud cover. The temperature was a very pleasant 16.3°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 18.2°C real feel 18°C and the minimum was 11.6°C.

This is an extra note about the weather. I went out in my car to take the rubbish to the bins and some recycling. We have had rain overnight as the car was covered in yellow dust, not there yesterday! Also my balcony rail is filthy. It must have dried up before I got my eyes into focus

Good morning from Roda. It is a day of promise after a cooler night, with clear skies, mostly, to the north, with the haze from the previous days gone and we are back to stunning views of the mainland with the last remnants of snow clinging to the upper peaks. The sea is back to a deep blue and calming after the rough waves last night, just leaving some small ones to make their way ashore. To the south, when I first opened the door, we had a lot more cloud and a small crescent moon still gracing the sky. The sun is a bit shy and playing hard to find, so breakfast was inside this morning. Overall, though, there is nothing to complain about.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 5th April was 12.5°C. Real feel 13°C.

Yesterday after the overnight rain had a very cloudy morning with little in the way of sunshine, but it was warm enough, especially those times that the sun graced us with its presence. The afternoon saw us getting good long sunny spells, though the wind started to change direction later on. This saw the flat calm sea that we had had all day turn increasing rough. The got strong enough to give us some quite fierce gusts. The thicker clouds we had had earlier on thinned and we had a lovely streaky sunset with the standard oranges fading to pretty sheets of pinks and greys. It was still very windy at bedtime with a mostly cloudy sky but there were one or two gaps for a star or two to shine. It was a mild 14.6 at 10pm.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 17.3°C real feel 17°C and the minimum was 12.6°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Sunday 5th Max 17.8c min 12.1c. Almost full cloud at dawn but some of it thin. It was a nice morning and the sun broke through, albeit hazy. Around 13:30 the clouds thickened but we had more good sunshine after 17:00 until just gone 19:00 when the clouds finally won the day. Monday 6thmax 19.8c, min 11.1c. The sun cleared the clouds as it rose and we had a nice sunny morning with a light breeze. The other clouds took time to clear so we had shade from about 1pm for several hours but again a lovey sunny end to the day apart from a brief period around 6pm. After the wind eased late afternoon it was very pleasant in the garden indeed.
Tuesday max 21.3c, min 11.9c. Early high thin clouds soon dispersed to give us a day of wall to wall sunshine with a light wind; picking up later and gusting to F6 at times briefly mid-afternoon. The odd passing cloud briefly interrupted the sun. A lovely starlit night with a full moon.
We have missed the last of the bad weather front; Greece had more snow in North central areas and some bad flooding; over 300,000 stremma of farmland was flooded. The forecast is set fair for the next few days making it harder for people to stay indoors, especially if they have no garden......I noticed a higher footfall pass my house yesterday.

Good morning from Roda. And it is a lovely morning, the early morning streaky trace clouds have been burnt off to leave a clear blue sky. The mainland, with some residual snow on only the highest peaks, looked pretty clear. The channel in between us is a sapphire blue with just the beginnings of white horses and similarly crested waves making their way ashore. There is a cool breeze coming from over those cold mountains opposite, but it is lovely and warm on my sheltered south balcony. And, yes, I did have my breakfast there and a second attempt at yesterday’s crossword. Ah well, there is also my coffee time to have another attempt at the final difficult four clues.
The temperature at 10am on Tuesday 6th April was 12.4°C. Real feel 12°C.

Yesterday had a cool feel about it. If you got a sheltered spot it was very pleasant in the sun, but we did have a good amount of cloud giving us quite long dull periods, when you certainly felt that drop of temperature from the day before. The clouds did thin considerably to give us a rather spectacular sunset. I never get tired of rushing out of the apartment onto the balconies to stand and stare and get some more photos. The evening though was cloudy, and my late-night check showed only one or two lone stars in the western sky. IT was a cool feeling 12.6°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.8°C real feel 16°C and the minimum was 9.7°C.
