Good morning from Roda. Well we didn’t get the forecast overnight rain, but this morning the sky is very grey particularly over our mountains, where the murk was well down them first thing. It won’t be very pleasant in the mountain villages today. Albania is absent from the horizon across a ruffled sea with only small waves coming ashore. There is an evil breeze that feels cold when out of the shelter of the apartment. The clouds are lifting slightly as the morning gets older and we are seeing the occasional fleeting glimpse of the sun. But it was a warmer night with the figure in the middle teens.
The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 7th April was 14.9°C. Real feel 14°C.
The reported UV for Today is 7 (Range 1- 11+).
UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday for the most part was lovely with clear skies and plenty of sunshine. OK the skies did have some very pretty fluffy small clouds around, but they never got in the way of the sunshine. In the afternoon quite a strong breeze got up bringing with it the clouds. It did feel cool except in sheltered sunny spots. The sunset turned out to be another great one with the sun turning the sky golden orange beneath a lowering bank of clouds, almost looking threatening. My late evening check saw a few stars shining through what must be clouds and still a fairly stiff breeze. The temperature though was a mild 14.7°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 16.0°C real feel 16°C and the minimum was 8.1°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Sunday 5th Max 17.8c min 12.1c. Almost full cloud at dawn but some of it thin. It was a nice morning and the sun broke through, albeit hazy. Around 13:30 the clouds thickened but we had more good sunshine after 17:00 until just gone 19:00 when the clouds finally won the day. Monday 6thmax 19.8c, min 11.1c. The sun cleared the clouds as it rose and we had a nice sunny morning with a light breeze. The other clouds took time to clear so we had shade from about 1pm for several hours but again a lovey sunny end to the day apart from a brief period around 6pm. After the wind eased late afternoon it was very pleasant in the garden indeed.
Tuesday max 21.3c, min 11.9c. Early high thin clouds soon dispersed to give us a day of wall to wall sunshine with a light wind; picking up later and gusting to F6 at times briefly mid-afternoon. The odd passing cloud briefly interrupted the sun. A lovely starlit night with a full moon.
We have missed the last of the bad weather front; Greece had more snow in North central areas and some bad flooding; over 300,000 stremma of farmland was flooded. The forecast is set fair for the next few days making it harder for people to stay indoors, especially if they have no garden......I noticed a higher footfall pass my house yesterday.

Good morning from Roda. It can only be described as a very wild night, I was waked by the hammering of the pull for the mosquito net banging against the wind, the there were the thuds of things falling and patio furniture shifting. The waves the so loud pounding on the shore. Needless to say, I pulled the covers over my head leaving checking for any damage until it was light in the morning. I was dreading checking my balconies, but everything was OK apart from one small plant that got blown off the table, the plastic stools had moved a little, so it was a wise decision to stay in my warm bed. We are due more high winds later on this afternoon with them reaching around 25mph. But what a morning when I ventured outside to take a look. It was sparkling, with clear air, blue skies and brilliant white fluffy clouds floating around. The mainland was so beautiful with a fresh dusting of snow across most of the mountains. The sea between us was sapphire blue with large white crested waves thundering ashore. It is cool though despite the sun, there is still a very cold wind coming off those fresh snow fields. No breakfast outside today, I enjoyed my cereal topped with four fresh strawberries courtesy of the plants I bought yesterday. I also managed to put a good number of answers into the crossword.
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 8th April was 11.4°C. Real feel 10°C.
The reported UV for Today is 7 (Range 1- 11+).
UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday was a pretty good day after that very cloudy start. The clouds did decide that they had better things to do and left us with an afternoon that was mostly sunny and only occasionally cloudy. The temperature though didn’t vary much during the day, the maximum over-night temperature was 15.5°C and during the day it was mostly hovering around the15.2°C mark. It did quite windy building up the lovely long waves that seem to go on for hundreds of meters along the bay. I enjoyed a lovely walk around the village in the late afternoon. It was lovely and warm if you got out of that wind. I was sitting out on my balcony until the cooling air sent me in at around 7.30pm. The clouds did return during the evening so there were no stars when I went out to check in the late evening, and the sea could be heard raging against the shore. It was a cool 12.6°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.2°C real feel 15°C and the minimum was 14.2°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave)
Wednesday 8th maximum 20.8c minimum 11.3c Thursday 9th max 21.2c min 9.7c Friday 10th max 21.1c min 11.8c Saturday 11th max 21.9c min 11.5c
It has been 4 days of wall to wall sunshine, early sea fog (more so yesterday) and just the odd passing cloud or a few fluffy hanging around over the hills. The sea blue and nothing more than choppy during the afternoon winds. The winds gusting to F4 at times but warm and being outside is the place to be; I feel for those who don't have gardens during the lockdown as while you can go to the shop or out for exercise time is limited. Today looks set to be the same.

Good morning from Roda. It was a cold night with the temperature dropping to a lowly 5°C. The high winds that were rattling my mosquito nets was gone by the time I woke. So, it was a peaceful night with no unexplained bumps, crashes or the sound of furniture moving on the balconies. Opening the curtains onto a cloudless sky with stunning views of the mainland. A lot of the snow has gone from the south facing flanks of the mountains, but there are still some gleaming white high-level fields gleaming in the morning sun. That wind had eased to leave us with still ait of a breeze which is a bit mischievous and prevented me having breakfast on the balcony. I needed a jumper and a jacket on my walk up to see my accountant this morning! The sea is a lovely jade colour, calm looking out in the channel but some white crested waves finding their way ashore.
The temperature at 10am on Friday 9th April was 10.8°C. Real feel 11°C.

Yesterday stayed windy all day with the wind partially dying away during the day slightly, but strengthened again to be very stiff in the evening. The sea stayed wild all day with white horses out in the channel and big waves pounding the shore. What clouds there had been were all chased away by the time the sun was thinking about getting to its bed. Sheltered from the wind it was still possible to enjoy an early evening coffee on the balcony until just after 7pm. Sunset was a stunning monochromatic display of burnt oranges silhouetting the dark buildings and trees. The late-night check showed we still had that wind and clear skies with quite a selection of stars sprinkled across the dark sky. In the wind it was a chilly feeling 12°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 13.1°C real feel 13°C and the minimum was 10.3°C.
More pretty spring flowers in a field near me in Roda.

Good morning from Roda. It was a very pretty scene when I looked out this morning. A bit earlier that usual as I had to go and get my Covid vaccination. The sea was flat calm and a very pale orange with a cloudless sky above the dark mass that was Albania. It was a lovely drive to Agros to get my vaccination, but the drive back along the back roads to Sidari was better. Very windy roads through olive groves a riot of wildflowers, and the road to myself! Back home with a coffee, I think well earned, we have more clouds and a ruffled sea streaked sapphire and emerald. There aren’t that many clouds but they do have a tendency to get in the way of the sun, then it is very chilly. There is this malevolent breeze just taking the edge off what would otherwise be a lovely morning.
The temperature at 9am on Saturday 10th April was 10.0°C. Real feel 10°C.

Yesterday would have been perfect for April if it wasn’t for a pesky cold breeze that put a damper on it. It was lovely if you found a sheltered spot. The sea was choppy all day, with breakers over the harbour and the headland at Almyros. We had the typical monochromatic sunset that was just slightly under par. The late evening check showed a scattering of clouds across a dark night sky. It was cold feeling with that breeze, giving us a cool feeling 11.2°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 13.7°C real feel 13°C and the minimum was 5.2°C.
My own desert island beach yesterday. It looks idyllic, but there was a chill breeze coming off the sea. It is a small beach to the west of St Spyridon Beach called Gialiskari Beach. Access is via a very rough track or by foot from St Spyridon or the carpark at Almyros. I know it’s not Roda but so beautiful.

Good morning from Roda. We had yet another cold night with a few more forecast, though to be honest the minimum temperature is creeping up very slowly and should get back into double figure in a few days. Looking out at the world this morning, indeed I was brave a stepped out onto the balcony despite the single figure temperature, I found a calm morning with a flat calm sea and barely any wind. There is a thin veil of thin clouds that is veiling the sun and reducing the UV a little, but we still have a pale blue sky. The mainland is quite clear and there is still a sliver of snow capping the highest peak.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 11th April was 11.1°C. Real feel 11°C.

Yesterday was a lovely day with plenty of sunshine, occasionally hidden by the fluffy clouds floating round. The morning and early afternoon were marred by a slight chill breeze that made the shade seem a little cool. The sea started off very calm but got slightly choppy by the afternoon. There was a definite change with the breeze later on seeming quite pleasant and I was able to sit out on my balcony until after 7pm. The clouds were all gone by the time the sun was heading for the western horizon, just leaving a few traces of streaky ones, that managed to give extra interest to another lovely monochromatic sunset.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 14.2°C real feel 14°C and the minimum was 5.6°C.

Good morning from Roda. The night was slightly warmer and morning brought a light veil of thin clouds slightly hampering the sun from doing its job. There was barely a breath of wind and the sea is calm and silent. Albania is affected by a very slight haze, but you can see that the snow is very slowly melting. Though the view from Kassiopi showed even larger snow fields. We are due some more unsettled weather over the next few days, nowhere near as nice as the weather this time last year failing to meet those lovely temperatures.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 12th April was 12.3°C. Real feel 12°C.
The reported UV for Today is 6 (Range 1- 11+).
UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday was mostly a very nice day, even beautiful at time, with plenty of blue skies with pretty decorative white clouds. The breeze generally was cool near the sea, but in sheltered spots out of that breeze it was lovely. Late afternoon saw a gathering of clouds turning that sapphire blue sea into a grey uninviting mass. The clouds didn’t last long and we had a mostly clear sky by the time of the sunset, with just enough clouds round the horizon to try and add interest to a fairly mediocre sunset. The night sky was moonless with a scattering of stars and feeling cool with the temperature at 12.2°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.1°C real feel 15°C and the minimum was 7.3°C.
A trip to Kassiopi yesterday for a stroll which was very loosely described as exercise for our permission text. We walked around the headland that is topped by the Venetian castle. It was actually the first time I have done this walk and it was stunning. Kassiopi is easily reached from Roda by bus or car even a taxi. A charming working harbour with hire boats to go round the coast down towards Nisaki. So many restaurants to while away the time.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Sunday 12th April max 21.3c min 11.5c. A thick sea fog and haze around most of the day but it was sunny all the time with a light afternoon wind. Starlit night.
Monday 13th max 24.3c min 11.5c. Again sea fog and some light thin high clouds but very sunny and little breeze. A large yellow/orange sunset followed by a starlit night.
Tuesday 14th max 20.1c min 12.3c. It was a cloudy day. Mainly light grey. There was a gusting wind getting up to F4 at times in the afternoon. We also had the odd very short glimpse of the sun but it never really felt warm. It was a full cloudy night.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES 2020 The maximum shade temperature recorded by me in Roda in 2020 was 31.0°C on 1st. August. The minimum shade temperature recorded by me in Roda in 2020 was -1.4°C. 8th. January.

Good morning from Roda. It was a warmer night, with the temperature slowly creeping up. I peeped out of the kitchen door as the kettle boiled for my morning cuppa. There was a gentle rain stippling the pool water at Semeli. Looking out the front the mainland was lost in the rain, the sea was grey and slightly choppy and noisy with the waves coming ashore. I took my tea back to bed; I almost needed the light on it was so dark! By the time I had my tea and it revived my bones and I had a second look at the world there were blue patches appearing in the sky and the Mainland was coming back. The rain, which had increased to a steady rate had stopped. The two photos were taken at the same time but from different angles. It has stayed dry since and brightened a little, so fingers crossed it stays the same for the rest of the day. It is mild though I am just in a short sleeved top and the door is wide open and all I can hear is the bird song.
The temperature at 10am on Tuesday 13th April was 13.3°C. Real feel 13°C.

Yesterday, which was forecast to be cloudy was just a perfect April day, with mostly clear skies and the clouds barely interfering with the sun. The sea stayed calm for the most part, only getting ruffled in the late afternoon. There was a slightly cool breeze coming off the sea, but as soon as you stepped away from the shore, it was very pleasantly warm and no jacket required. I took one with me for my walk around the village and the see Steve and water his plant, but I never needed it. I was sitting on my balcony comfortably until 7pm when gathering light cloud dimmed the sun and chased me into the house. The amount of cloud meant that there was no sunset, only a very slight hint of a peach flush on the sea. MY late evening check showed that we had complete cloud cover and a mild 13.5°C
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 16.8°C real feel 17°C and the minimum was 9.2°C.

Good morning from Roda. The nights are continuing to get warmer, hopefully I can but the hot water bottle away until the end of the year. I am thinking about putting most of my heaters away as well. This morning brought the expected wind churning up the sea into a stunning picture of sapphires and greens with white foam topped waves. Albania though hadn’t benefited from the wind and remained distinctly hazy. The sky to the north was mostly a lovely blue with some nice clouds floating around. To the south was a different picture with clouds stuck over the higher peaks. That stiff wind is whistling up my stairs, but in my sheltered spot it was lovely and warm for my breakfast.
The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 14th April was 13.9°C. Real feel 14°C.

Yesterday started of with rain which barely lasted an hour and probably didn’t do much to dampen my flowers on the stairs. The clouds started breaking soon after 10am, and the breeze was making the sea choppy with intermittent flecks of white foam and noisy waves as they hit the shoreline. The afternoon turned out to be warm with sunshine and clouds. It almost became the hottest day of the year. That record still stands at 19.5°C on 10th January! Mind you we had the coldest day of the year 1.7°C on 19th January! The breeze turned a bit cool by the early evening and chased me indoors by around 7pm. I sat in my lounge watching the amazing skyscapes, the photos as usual don’t do it justice. The actual sunset was masked by a bank of clouds in the west. The evening was very mild with the temperature only falling to 15.5°C by the late evening.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 19.1°C real feel 19°C and the minimum was 11.8°C.

Good morning from Roda. We were back to cooler nights with the temperature a lowly 8°C at its lowest. However, I did wake to clear blue skies with just minimal amounts of clouds. A very clear view of the mainland across a calm turquoise coloured sea. The highest peaks still have some remnants of snow and the sea, though looking calm in the channel is still sending some white topped wavs ashore. That very strong wind of yesterday has completely gone, though the forecast is for a repeat performance, though not as strong. It is still quite cool for the time of year, but on my sheltered balcony I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. It is definitely warmer out there than here in the kitchen.
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 15th April was 11.8°C. Real feel 12°C.

Yesterday could only be described as wild and windy with raging seas. I did venture down to the front to take the photos of the windsurfers, but in just a cardigan it was too cold to stay for long! The wind ensured that we had an amazing air clarity giving us lovely views of the mainland. We had mostly clear skies all day giving us a stunning sunset with the dying shades of orange above the horizon lingering for such a long time. The night sky was dark with a good sprinkling of stars. Thankfully the wind was easing off by then and my mozzie nets not rattling as much. It was a strange day temperature wise in that the highest temperature was around midnight at 15°C , and the day time temperature hovering around the 14°C mark.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.1°C ( in the small hours) the daytime maximum was 14.1°C real feel 14°C and the minimum was 12.6°C. It was a lovely afternoon if you were a windsurfer due to the very strong winds and big seas.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Wednesday 15th max 19.3c min 14.0c. The sun was out by 8am and then a wind picked up and the clouds moved away rather quickly to give us a sunny day with passing clouds. The afternoon wind was rather strong in gusts up to F6 and the season whipped up into whitetops. The wind stayed on very late into the evening; well after a bright yellow sunset and the start of a starlit night.
Thursday 16th max 21.3c min 10.3c. A good bit of sea fog and high haze around early. Sea was calmer and the sun was out with a more lighter wind gusting to F3 at times. Passing fluffy clouds, some stopping over our hills didn't affect the sun. A light yellow almost silver sunset and a starlit night.
Friday 17th max 22.1c, min 11.1 c. Lot more sea fog and hazy cloud with Albania just an outline. Sunny with a light wind; bit of early afternoon cloud soon moved on and the gusting wind picked up to F4 at times but eased around 4pm. Another lovely silver yellow sunset and starlit night.
Saturday 18th max 22.5c, min 11.2c. Less sea fog and high thin hazy clouds but the sun rose and it was a sunny day with a light afternoon wind. Another similar sunset preceded a starlit night......and being Easter, the locals still ignored their isolation to be outside with fireworks and gunshot at midnight.

It was another cool night, so I haven’t retired my faithful hotwater bottle quite yet. I peered through the curtains too early to be getting up and saw a pretty pastel tail-end of the dawn. It was a calm world, no wind a very calm sea (with the soft sounds of waves) and no human activity to disturb the peace. I went back to bed to doze until a better time to get up. Now there is a bit of a breeze, feeling a little chilly when I just stuck my head out onto the north balcony. There is some haze masking the details of the mainland. The sun has made an effort to get through the clouds a couple of times, but is fast loosing the battle.

Yesterday morning was mostly sunny and nice and warm on my balcony, but the afternoon saw increasing clouds. With the increasing clouds came a cold wind. I needed my winter gilet for my saunter round the village. The waves were giving the shore quite a bashing and could be clearly heard from the main road. Then, as has been happening in the last few days the skies started clearing to such an extent that they were nearly all gone by the time the sun set. It was nice if you got a sheltered spot, but that wind was cold, think there must be more snow than the little I can see on the mainland. Sunset was the usual very lovely monochromatic show, enhanced by a sliver of a moon above it. The glow lasted for such a long time, then it was suddenly dark. The late-night check showed a sky sull of stars and a moon fuzzy behind a veil of cloud. The waves were still noisy and it felt a cold 13.5°C.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 13.7°C and the minimum was 8.0°C.

Good morning from Roda. It was a slightly warmer night with the temperature almost reaching double figures. I awoke to a very calm grey settled day with wall-to-wall grey cloud, a mainland that is reduced to a single colour block. The sea between us is calm but I can hear waves landing on the shore. There is barely a hint of a breeze, but still feeling far from warm outside. A good day for a walk, if it stays dry, is about the only positive thing I can say about today. I am disappointed if I have to have my breakfast sat inside, like this morning.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 17th April was 13.2°C. Real feel 13°C.
The reported UV for Today is 7 (Range 1- 11+).
UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around and around the summer solstice).
Yesterday was a cold feeling day with a complete covering of clouds. We did have a short spat of drizzle in the early afternoon, and rain was reported in Almyros later on in the day. We did get a little spell with a bit of a breeze before settling into barely a whisper. The sea was calm and that lovely pale jade green it goes when we have a lot of clouds. It was quite bright despite the cloud and the sun did have a couple of tries of breaking through but failing miserably. The sunset was only discernible by a slight peach flush on some of the paler clouds. The temperature barely moved during the day once it reached at 14°C mark, with the late-night reading still 13.9°C. It was still cloudy with no stars and just a breath of a wind.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 14.3°C and the minimum was 8.0°C.

I have to add an amendment to my report. I just went for a walk around the village to book a hair appointment and to pick up a few items from Alpha supermarket. As I walked down my steps the rail was covered in yellow dust as was my car. That dust hadn't been then when I drove it in the afternoon. So, we must have had overnight rain. More rain is forecast, so I'm going to clean my car until we have the sun back.

Good afternoon from Roda. I have had no internet from around 8am this morning until about 2.15pm when my phones were going mental with messages coming through! Anyway back to the weather. It was a lovely almost clear day, after a mild night, when I first emerged from my bed, but the time I did get up and open the door we had an almost complete covering of very light speckled cloud. The next time I looked at around 10am as I took the daily photo, we had clear skies again, with a heavy covering just over the mainland peaks, an a few caught up on ours. There is a bit of a cool breeze which I certainly felt when standing at the top of my stairs wiping all my railings down after the rain had deposited so much dust. The sea is slightly choppy with flecks of white and the usual turquoise and sapphire colours. The mainland could be much clearer as there is a bit of a haze. In the sun out of that breeze it is lovely.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 18th April was 14.0°C. Real feel 14°C.
The reported UV for Today is 7 (Range 1- 11+).

Yesterday was just a dull grey day with intermittent spits and spots of rain. Albania was absent all day across a calm but grey sea. A breeze did strike up in the afternoon giving some choppiness to that sea then leading to noisy waves by the evening. Sometime after it got dark it started to rain steadily here, though a friend in Skripero said it was much heavier there. There was time when the clouds started descending down the flanks of the hills behind us. It was generally a mild day, but feeling cold and damp despite temperatures in the mid-teens. The late night temperature was still around 14°C
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.5°C and the minimum was 9.8°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. Apologies for a very late report. I went to a friend for coffee and we just got talking. Also, because I had taken the car because it was raining, I got my first gyros of the year, and of course I had to eat it whilst it was hot! It was very overcast but dry when I first woke up, but lying in bed I heard the thunder starting and then the rain. By the time I was fully awake we had very heavy rain, it was intermittent, but when I came you knew about it. The lightning started later on the morning, just as I was heading out, though the rain had eased a little by then.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 19th April was 12.0°C. Real feel 12°C.

Yesterday was sunny with only a few clouds around. For most of the day there was a chill breeze catching you out if not in a sheltered spot. So I was lucky and spent a lot of time out on my balcony when not putting stuff through the machine or sweeping and washing my floors. That cool breeze eased after the middle of the afternoon making it very pleasant to be still sitting out, though the sun is riding higher in the sky and casting my balcony into shade by the late afternoon. There was a gathering of clouds to the west which obstructed any sunset. What we got was a general flushing of the clouds to the south and west, and a long-lasting orange glow caught between that layer of clouds and the sea. The clouds continued gathering such that we had a complete covering by my late-night check. It was a mild 14.2°C though.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.5°C and the minimum was 12.2°C.
This time last year (thanks to Dave) Easter Sunday 19th April ....max 23.1 min 12.1. A sea fog and high thin clouds but the sun was out occasionally in morning and the afternoon light wind cleared it more to give a nice sunny afternoon, early evening; Albania became visible again. Just a partial starlit night.
Monday max 20th 18.2c min 14.2c. Sea fog thicker and though mild there was a full cloud cover. Early pm there were spots of rain....you would only know if you were outside at time; I was in garden; and they didn't even a cover on the ground. Just a light wind but a grey miserable day.
Tuesday 21st max 21.0c min 15.3. After a mild night the temperature never really rose. There had been rains in the early hours, light but for a few hours but dawn was still and mild. Everywhere was grey including the sea. Odd patches of sun around 10:45 for rest of morning. A spotty shower, again not cover the ground at 3pm and then it brightened up with sunny spells after 4:30pm before clouding over again for rest of day and night.
Wednesday 22nd max 16.1, min 15.3 rains in early hours and it continued as very fine drizzle until well after 9am. Full cloud, no sign of Albania, and a gentle wind. There was a chill light wind and the temperature hardly rose at all before dropping in afternoon to be back at dawn temperature by 4pm. Afternoon rains were short and light but we had a constant shower from early evening through until midnight.
Thursday23rd max 16.4, min 12.9c. Still raining at dawn after it had been all night and finally stopped fully around 10:30. A few minutes of sun after 3pm but then it clouded over. A look round garden revealed 2 inches of water in a bucket I keep under my lemon tree. It started to rain again after 7pm and it was still raining at 10pm when I decided to have an early night.

Good morning from Roda. It must have rained very heavily overnight judging by the amount of standing water around the garden. I saw the tail end of the dawn when I first stirred with a golden glow on the sea and reflected in the clouds to the east. As I was lying in bed savouring my cup of tea, I’m sure I heard rumbles of thunder. When I did get up the sea was a deep grey colour and choppy looking and clouds were travelling down our mountains and Albania was almost missing from across the channel. It was raining heavily by 9.30am but it didn’t last that long and it soon started brightening up with increasing patches of blue and some hints of sunshine. I have posted three photos to illustrate the varied skies we have here today at the same time.
The temperature at 10am on Tuesday 20th April was 12.0°C. Real feel 12°C.

Yesterday started off with a typical Corfiot thunder storm complete with loud bangs and flashes of lightning. The higher villages got hail and thick rain. The rain was almost constant, but was starting to ease by coffee time and it was dry by around 2pm. The afternoon saw a mix of blue skies and some clouds, but the heavy clouds rolled in again by early evening with a strong bitter feeling wind and some more rain. It didn’t last that long and my late evening check showed a night sky lit by an almost half moon, showing a fair scattering of clouds, but plenty of stars shining in the gaps. The wind had thankfully dropped away just leaving a bit of a breeze.
Yesterday the maximum temperature was 15.1°C and the minimum was 11.5°C.
Turned out fine in the afternoon.
