Good morning from Roda. It is yet another lovely day as this long spell of brilliant weather continues. Though the nights are definitely getting cooler, as are the early morning temperature. We have clear practically cloudless skies to the north. What clouds there are are tiny and trapped in the mainland valleys. To the south we have a small bank of mostly fluffy white clouds hovering over our mountains. We have a calm and almost silent sea and barely any wind. It may have been only 15°C in the shade, but in the sun on my balcony it was warm enough to enjoy my breakfast in my sleep T-shirt. This morning’s photo taken towards Semeli and the hazy mountains. Most of that haze due to smoke.
Yesterday we had clear skies for the better part of the day, with a calm sea and a gentle breeze. It is still feeling very hot on the south facing balcony of mine. It wasn’t too hot to spoil my walk up to the cemetery to see Steve. The roads were quiet but more people walking now we are in lock down. Some clouds did start to gather to the south giving a few shady moments but not enough remained to add any interest to a lack lustre sunset. The dying light did bring to life the golden shades in the leaves behind the house. It was a cool night, with a dark night sky full of stars. It was a cool 14°C at 10pm.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 19.0°C real feel 19°C, and the minimum was 10.0°C.
This day last year was a day of rain sometimes heavy and a thunderstorm. The maximum temperature was 19.6°C, and the minimum was 16.8°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda. This amazing weather continues and without an end in sight. The forecast site I use shows ten more days of this! It was a little cooler on the balcony as I had my breakfast so a dressing gown was needed. The day started with clear skies and a slight haze. We have a gentle wind and a calm sea with barely audible waves coming ashore. I have just spotted a lone white cloud emerging over the hills behind as I was checking the smoke haze behind me. I am thankful I live near the sea as the air is much clearer here. This morning’s photo shows the haze towards the mainland.
Yesterday was clear skied for most of the day with just gathering of white fluff balls in the late afternoon. The wind stayed gentle and the sea calm with just some token waves coming ashore. I walked to Acharavi in the warm autumnal sunshine, photographed the flowers and watched a paddle boarder make his way across the bay. No wetsuit needed yet apparently. Those clouds tinged a lovely shade of pink as the sun set very quickly somewhere behind the hills between Karousades and Sfakera, in June it sets beneath the sea beside Roda Beach Hotel!. For having some clouds around it wasn’t a great sunset. Night brought us some more clouds as I couldn’t see that many stars when I went out to check. It was a cool 15°C at 10.30pm. The photo was taken yesterday on my walk into Acharavi. It was a lovely day for a walk.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 18.6°C real feel 19°C, and the minimum was 10.7°C.
This day last year started off with heavy rain but cleared to give good long spells of sunshine and a starlit night. The maximum temperature was 18.7°C, and the minimum was 14.3°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda. And so, this amazing weather continues, although we had a cold night, the coldest of this autumn so far with the temperature dipping to a chilly 9°C. It was enough to send me scooting back to bed with cup of tea in double quick time. I even switched the de-humidifier on as the windows had so much condensation on them. I did however manage to stick my head out of the door and take this early morning shot of the smoke from an early bonfire stuck so close to the ground. The later shot is showing the Eveline and Efftichia’s apartments also the edge of the Coral Hotel basking in the morning sunshine. We have clear cloudless skies with only a tiny cloud popping up every now and then. There is just a gentle breeze, a little chilly earlier on as I was having my customary breakfast on the balcony. The shade temperature was a cool 14°C but the reading in the sun was more than 10°C higher, though to be honest it didn’t feel that hot. I still needed my dressing gown.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day, it was almost a repeat of the previous one, where the skies stayed clear with just a small gathering of clouds, almost in the same position in the southern sky just before sunset. We got the same flushing of pink across the sky before the sun quickly set in a most unspectacular way. The clouds then quickly left the scene. The sky showed just a pastel flush of approximate sunset colours and they quickly faded. We had a cool night with a clear sky and plenty of stars as seen when I closed up for the night.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 18.7°C real feel 19°C, and the minimum was 10.9°C.
This day last year was a day of sunshine with gathering thin streaky high cloud, there were the first snows of winter on the mainland. The maximum temperature was 19.4°C, and the minimum was 13.1°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good afternoon from Roda. Sorry about the late report but I am expecting a lot of boxes from the UK and a bed from IKEA so had to clear space for them. Some of the boxes are from emptying the motorhome ready to sell her, things I’m not yet ready to get rid of just yet. This morning dawned quite clear with only a minimal amount of clouds to the north but many more to the south. There was hardly any wind, some haze and the sea was almost silent. It was a milder night but I think the day isn’t going to be as warm as yesterday as the cloud is continuing to build up. This morning’s photo across the channel towards the mainland shows the amount of haze.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day, it was surprisingly warmer than the previous day though it didn’t feel it, what wind there was felt a little chilly. Speckled clouds developed during the afternoon as the temperature dropped rapidly as we approached sunset. Today the clouds were rimmed with bright gold against a paler sky, making for a lovely sunset, then all the speckled clouds flushed a lovely shade of pink. We then had a cold clear evening with a good scattering of clouds. Because of the restrictions and no bars being open I can no longer go for my evening walk having used up my walk earlier on. It was a chilly 13°C at 10.30pm.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 19.6°C real feel 19°C, and the minimum was 9.1°C.
This day last year started off very windy but dry, but then the rain came, very heavy at times. It was a warm day due to the southerly winds. The maximum temperature was 23.8°C, and the minimum was 18.9°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda. It was a lovely dawn, what little I saw of it, as the best bit is shielded from my view by my neighbour’s apartment. But it was back to the warmth of my bed with a cup of tea. The clouds that gave us a nice dawn were still in place, a combination of sheets of very thin ones, underneath which were larger lumpy ones hiding the sun at times when I eventually got up. We have quite a haze, added to here by the sheer number of bonfires. I was reading this morning of an islander being fined because his fire got out of control! It was a cool start but by the time I was eating my breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine it was warming up nicely, especially when the sun emerged from behind a cloud. Because of the covid restrictions there is far less traffic on the road during our tiny rush hour, leaving only the sound of the numerous birds in the garden singing away. The photo looks a little dark because I was shooting almost into the sun.
Yesterday had a lovely start, with plenty of clear sky to the north but much cloudier to the south. The shade temperature wasn’t that great but it was still warm enough in the sun to be still in summer clothes. These pesky clouds gradually crept across the sky until the sun was hidden by the middle of the afternoon. Then they saw sense and starting melting away, leaving enough behind to give us a stunning sunset. The sun does seem to set so quickly now, you have to be quick to catch it. One minute the sun is there, the next you get the golden beauty then before you know it, the sky flushes pink and then it is all over. The night sky was moonless with plenty of stars and Orion ascending in the east. It was a chilly 13°C at 11.15pm as I headed to bed after doing Jay’s virtual pub quiz on YouTube.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 17.9°C real feel 19°C, and the minimum was 10.8°C.
This day last year started off very windy but dry, we could see heavy rain on the mainland. The culvert beside Theodoros had overflowed leaving sand and debris across the road. We did see some sun. The maximum temperature was 18.8°C, and the minimum was 16.7°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda. I awoke to cloudless dazzling blue skies, a slight haze, which appears to be worse towards our mountains. There is barely a breath of wind and the sea is blue, calm and silent. A gorgeous day for the middle of November. Breakfast was enjoyed in the warmth of the sun on the balcony. I will miss doing it when the weather takes a turn for the worse as we are expecting rain for next week. As I opened my door, I was lucky to get a very close up view of a large eagle flying at low level across the garden, it took me by surprise and of course no camera. Todays photo, no zoom across the garden towards the mainland.
Yesterday wasn’t a bad day overall in that we had a good deal of nice warm sunshine, but we also had increasing cloud in the afternoon giving us some cloudy spells. There was a deep bank of cloud over the mainland mountains, and a wider spread to the south. It was this later lot that caused the problems as the sun flies quite low in the sky at this time of year. So, although most of the sky was clear we still had these cloudy spells. By late afternoon they had decided that they had better things to do had were disappearing at a remarkable rate. They did however leave enough to give us a lovely sunset, I managed to get a quick photo. The night sky was dark as the moon rises in the early hours, but there were plenty of stars around. It was a cool night with the late evening temperature of 13°C.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 18.1°C real feel 18°C, and the minimum was 10.7°C.
This day last year saw a very wet night being followed by a day of showers. The maximum temperature was 18.3°C, and the minimum was 14.2°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda. It was a lovely dawn all pink streaky clouds flushed by the sun against a pale blue sky. Sensibly I went back to bed for a while. When I did eventually emerge, the sky had a good covering of mostly thin streaky clouds, that succeeded in hiding the sun at times. I think that is going to be the pattern for today. It was still pleasantly warm enough to enjoy breakfast on the balcony, though I think I won’t be doing it so much next week as several days of rain are forecast. Not the best news for the olive harvest. This morning’s picture was taken during a cloudy spell, but still lovely.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day with cloudless skies over us for the best part of the day. A deep bank of cloud did gather over the mountain tops on the mainland but very sensibly stayed there. The afternoon saw a brief breezy spell but the day was mostly graced with a gentle wind all day. There were some clouds that appeared in the west to add a bit of interest to a fairly muted sunset, though later on with clouds gone we were left with the dramatic sight of the dark outline of trees and buildings against a low-level orange band. The harbour looked lovely reflecting the pinks of the sky. We still have a few small boats active in the harbour setting their nets close to shore at night and returning for them in the morning. The night sky was again moonless but decorated with plenty of stars. It was a chilly 13°C at 10.30pm.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 18.9°C real feel 18°C, and the minimum was 10.8°C.
This day last year had a morning of spells of drizzle with a dark and threatening sky. It dried up in the afternoon and we even got a few sunny spells. The maximum temperature was 19.1°C, and the minimum was 15.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good afternoon from Roda. You almost got no report as the stupid laptop was playing up so much, I almost threw it out of the window! Anyway, it seems to have seen sense and is behaving itself now so here goes. We had lovely clear skies first thing this morning with only a few small clouds loitering, however, as the morning progresses it is getting cloudier. There is almost no wind, and the sea is calm with soft waves coming ashore. There is quite a bit of haze around as my photo shows.
Yesterday was a day of sunshine and increasing cloudiness. Still feeling very pleasant in the sun. We may have abandoned the thin tops of summer to a thicker t-shirt, but it still very pleasant, even too hot at times when the sun shines. The build up of clouds almost covered the sky by late afternoon, then started clear quickly as sunset approached, when we only had a few left around and some thin high streaky things that added to the amazing transition we had from day to night. I walked back from the cemetery down the main road to the Afrodite then along the beach road. I had to stop and marvel. The sea was flat calm and a mix of beautiful shades of pinks, lilacs and light blue, all against a background of pink mountains on the mainland. The photo, as usual, doesn’t do justice, but will give you an idea. The night was mostly clear with plenty of stars.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 18.1°C real feel 18°C, and the minimum was 11.2°C.
This day last year was a day of sunshine and clouds, quite clear but with a dark coloured sea. The clouds continued into the evening with gaps for the stars. The maximum temperature was 20.6°C, and the minimum was 16.8°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good morning from Roda, it will be a short report as having to do it on my tablet as the laptop is not playing. We had some rain during the night so it was damp and grey when I got up with quite a chilly wind coming from the south. The morn I g has brightened and we even got a couple of glimpses of the sun. There is quite a base and the sea is dark and forbidding. Unlike yesterday when you could contemplate a swim. Yesterday started off with clear skies before getting clouded in the afternoon with an my spells in The afternoon. Then the clouds started clearing until almost all gone by sunset, which completely passed me by. The evening was motionless but with quite a lot of stars and a milder 14C at 10.30pm.
The temperature at 10am was 16.2C
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 17.9C and the minimum was 11.1C.
This day last year was a day of dark couds, sunny spells with rain and a lightning storm at night. The maximum temperature was 20.9C and the minimum 18.1C.

Good afternoon from Roda. This is my second d attempt at my report, don't k ow what happened to the first one it disappeared as I tried to post it. Said some bad words, got myself some much and am trying again. OK, we had a lot of rain during the night, and judging by things being out of place we had a bit of a wind as well. It was raining in town at 9am but dry here. There were one or two small patches of blue over the mainland that gradually increased in number as the morning got older. There was hardly any wind and the sea was practically silent. Whilst the mainland appeared quite clear we had some haze. It was mild enough for me to have my breakfast outside once I had dried my chair and the table off.
Yesterday morning was cloudy with dark clouds and dark choppy sea. We did see o e or two spells over shine as the clouds broke up for a while before coming back in force. It was only the day before that we were saying it looked lovely enough for a swim. We had a shower of rain around 1pm and the exterminated cloudy. By 6pm the rain had set in for the night. It wasn't a cold night with the late evening temperature 16C.It
The temperature at 10 am was 16.2C.
Yesterday's maximum Temperature was 17.5C and the minimum was 13.8C.
This day last year we had a thunder and lightning storm. I have no further information.

[font Good afternoon from Roda. i am continuing to have a battle with my laptop, but I have got it working enough, hopefully, for my report. This morning brought a return to the lovely weather. We had blue skies dotted with lovely white clouds. There was hardly any wind and the sea looked ruffled and I could here waves over the sounds of the local cockeral and a concrete mixer. Whilst maybe a little on the cool side it was still lovely enough to have my breakfast on the balcony.
Yesterday started off with a totally cloud covered sky. There were a few hints of blue over the mainland with even one or two sunny patches on the hillsides. As the day progressed we saw increasing amounts of blue sky and with it more and more and more sunshine. Most of the clouds had gone by sunset, but there were enough scattered about the sky to make it a very pretty one, with the whole sky having pink touched clouds. The clouds seemed to return in the evening, because as I went out to check before going to bed I could see no stars. It was a very mild evening with the late evening temperature 15C.
The temperature at 10am on Thursday 19th. November 2020 was 13.5C
The maximum temperature yesterday was 18.1C and the minimum 15.7C and the UV was 2 (range 1-11+) I have no record of the weather this day last year as we were in hospital in Corfu. ="times new roman"][/font]

Good afternoon from Roda, many apologies for the late report but I have hurt my leg and it was a bit painful to sit and type, also my laptop is continuing to play up. Anyway we had a lovely if cold start to the day with the temperature just 8C, we had lovely blue sky with just some pretty clouds floating around. The wind was gentle and the sea ruffles but only gentle waves coming ashore, there was a slight mist as I looked over to the mainland. Still managed a bit of breakfast on the balcony, but in the sun it was too warm for my dressing gown .
Yesterday was a lovely day from start to finish. The sunshine stayed with us and most of the clouds faded away by sunset. The breeze did get up a bit in the afternoon but had subsided by the time of the sunset. We were blessed with another stunning sunset with what clouds there were tinged gold, before the whole sky flushed fire red. The evening saw a sliver of a crescent moon float low on the southern sky with a good number of stars. It felt mild in the 12C at 10pm.
The temperature at 10am on Friday 20th November 2020 was 13.5C
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 18.1C and the minimum was 12.0C
The maximum temperature this day last year was 18.5C and the minimum 13.0C. The day started with a thunder storm with heavy rain but dried up and we got some good long sunny spells, but windy at times.

Good afternoon from Roda. I think I have managed to remove the program that was causing me so much grief, I am so relieved as it was making life so hard. So, back to the weather. This morning I was stirring early enough to catch the end of a very pretty dawn, with pink flushed clouds and patches of blue, but it was a chilly 8°C. When I got up properly all the blue had gone and we had wall to wall clouds. The sun did make an attempt at breaking through, and succeeded once or twice, and a little bit more often on the mainland, but by mid-day we had complete cloud cover. There wasn’t much of a breeze and though the sea was ruffled it was mostly quiet. The mainland, mostly was just a dark block except when highlighted by a sunny patch.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day, with sunshine all day and enough clouds to add a bit of interest. The haze did stay with us however, but the wind stayed gentle as did the sea. There was another amazing sunset before delivering us a waxing crescent moon and its accompaniment of stars. It was a fairly mild 11°C at 10.30pm.
The temperature at 10am on Saturday 21st November was 12.1°C
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 16.5°C real feel 16°C, and the minimum was 8.2°C.
This day last year was a day of sunshine getting slightly cloudier in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 17.1°C, and the minimum was 10.3°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+). Although the level of UV is low that sun can still burn.

Good afternoon from Roda. Apparently, some parts of Corfu got a lovely dawn, but I slept through it. My leg is still giving me problems so am a bit slow in getting moving. It was a milder night with the temperature staying in double figures. When I did look out of the window, I saw that we had a lot of clouds around with some blue patches and it was quite bright despite those clouds. The mainland was dark but quite clear across a dark green blue ruffled sea. There is a bit of a breeze about this morning and it feels cooler than of late, there is less heat in that sun.
Yesterday started off promising with plenty of clouds but quite a few blue patches of sky. However, it did get increasingly cloudy and we had some spots of rain just after mid-day followed by a more determined shower. Then it settled in and we had a wet miserable afternoon before it dried up for the evening, although it did stay very cloudy with no trace of moon or stars. It was a cool 12°C at 10pm.
The temperature at 10am on Sunday 22nd November was 13.2°C.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 15.8°C real feel 15°C, and the minimum was 8.4°C. This day last year was a day of sunshine with some clouds around particularly over the mainland. Plenty of stars and light around in the evening feeling cool in the breeze though. The maximum temperature was 17.5°C, and the minimum was 11.0°C.
The reported UV for Today is 1 (Range 1- 11+).

Good afternoon from Roda. Apparently, we had a stunning dawn as reported by an islander at Ano Korakiana. I was still tucked up warm in bed at that time. When I did emerge, we had a mostly clear sky with only a few trace streaks of thin clouds and not much haze. There was barely a breeze, and the sea was calm dotted with a few small fishing boats. The waves were just lapping on the shore line. It had been a cool night with the temperature dropping down to 8°C, but was warming up nicely. My leg, which is sore when I sit prevented me from enjoying my breakfast outside. I am typing this standing up as it is the least painful option.
Yesterday was a day of steady improvement. It started off quite cloudy with only a few patches of blue, but then as the day wore on it got brighter and brighter with longer spells of sunshine. I didn’t really see the sunset just a glow from my front windows so it mustn’t have been much to write about. The cool evening brought us clouds, a waxing moon playing hide and seek and some stars. It was 11°C at 10pm.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 23rd November was 11.1°C.
Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 16.5°C real feel 15°C, and the minimum was 11.7°C. This day last year started off well with long spells of sunshine, but getting increasingly cloudy until sky covered by late afternoon. Distant thunder and lightning on the mainland. The maximum temperature was 18.3°C, and the minimum was 10.6°C.
The reported UV for Today is 2 (Range 1- 11+).
