As Jacks has just underlined, our anger appears to have been against another guest. A number of people have now tried to explain this same point to you but you don't seem to want to accept this. I think Pete has said that the other guest has now been banned so won't be able to respond further. As I said, delete the thread and end this monotony.

Totally agree with Antony. If I wanted to listen to nuts like this on a forum, I'd join one full of teenagers all bitching about each other.
I'm outta here till this total nonsense is sorted.

I think Jackie is spot on, it was the "seedy & tacky" guest that offended everyone, and it was obvious that there were several "guests" posting. I repeat that I was the first to complain about the extra sunbeds so to say this forum frowns on criticism is not true. pete.

I don't think that deleting whole threads because someone chooses to hijack them with abuse is the answer. Somebody really determined to cause offense can indiscriminately move on to another thread and the problem continues. Our Terms & Conditions do ask people not to be abusive, but it is an open forum and all opinions must be welcomed. The one point that has come out of all of this is the allocation of sunbed spaces on the beach in the wake of the lack of regulation. That is the main reason for the changes and not the new beachside terraces. In the sunbed owners' favour, they are not currently being charged a licence fee which was previously a sizeable slice of their annual earnings. I will speak to members of the syllogos to see what the official view is.
In terms of Roda becoming like the Costas in Spain, I think it might be a while before this happens ...

just a quick aside . DORSETMAN AT LEAST I HAVE VISITED RODA. AND AS A MATTER OF FACT TO THE CRITICS OF ME [AS GUEST ]I CAN SAY I VISITED BARS THAT ARE NOT JUST ON THE FRONT ,IN FACT I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL AND SOME THAT NO LONGER EXIST 23 hrs ago, Dorsetman said: You administrators have the delete button. These people are only out to cause arguments amongst the members, and silently slip away whilst it happens. I have seen on many of the Proboard forums where I am an Administrator/Moderator. Trolls, each and everyone of them.I am at a loss John as to where you are coming from. I have been to Roda, maybe not as a holiday, but visiting whilst staying elsewhere on Corfu. And this has been a few times. I have indicated I would like to visit Roda for a holiday on many occasions, but due to physical and medical problems I have been unable to so far. Nevertheless it is in the pipe line.
Maybe, had you identified yourself when first posting as a guest identifying your former user name, you would not have been identified as part of that group who were posting derogatory remarks. We are not mediums, we cannot see beyond the screen.
If I have updset you, going by your capital letters, I apologise, but do be rest assured it was directed at anyone person, but in general to those posting as guests. Read the thread, and others have said the same.
Incidentally, asked the Administrators if they can reinstate you. If they have access to Proboards as I do on my websites, they should be able to do this. If not sign in under a different name, and then ask admin to change back to original name, or you can change your user ID. Admin can aslo increase your post count to its original status.
In conclusion, I hope this meets your satisfaction. Cheers

There is an attitude with some people of 'you have something I want but can't have, so I'm going to destroy it'. And the best reply to this - totally ignore the a**eh**e who has that attitude. One up to you, nil to them as nobody panders to them. And Saint - no, I'm not referring to you!!! Having met you I wouldn't dare. Hope you had a good holiday this year.

Having been busy this is the first time I have read this post for a few days.I take offence deeply at being called a troll and a coward. I was the one who commented on Lola, her husband has only 1 kidney and the sunbeds is their only income. All these new sunbeds although I do approve of the changes, I feel sorry for Lola. I have been a member of this forum in the past but resigned due to fellow members jumping on people who dare criticize Roda. I love Roda and have been coming a few years (not in the decades) but I have had bad service and bad food. I think it is my right to criticize when I have done. I will be never adding to the forum again and will NEVER come to this webpage again. Tripadvisor only for me now. I will be still coming to Roda though.

... and another new venture seems to be taking place as the old 'Ammos Bar', between Nino's and the Coral Hotel, appears to be re-emerging as a grill room. Let's hope they will be open in the winter!!

As smg says, the beach volleyball net has now been relocated slightly to one side of where it used to be. Very much in the Greek way of reaching compromises, at no time was Lola likely to be disadvantaged in the long-term by any changes. It is understood that she will continue her business as before and that everyone, including Lola, seems to be very happy with the result.
