Today we awoke to blue skies, sunshine and no wind. There are some high clouds, and it is very hazy. Yesterday took a long time to fulfill its promise and stayed cloudy, but dry until later in the afternoon when the skies cleared and the sun came it. It was a beautiful calm evening with a full moon.
Today's readings at 8.50am are:- The temperature is 15.8oC, and the humidity is 72% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.0oC and the minimum 12.6oC, the maximum humidity was 75% and the minimum 52%.
I love these weather reports - we are first time visitors to Roda in July so will check in regularly now - think we've made a good choice.
Thank you for enjoying my little reports, I enjoy doing them. I just hope that people find them informative, and as I gather more data I hope I will be able to answer more weather related questions for Roda more accurately.
Today we awoke to clear blue skies, sunshine and a gentle breeze. Albania across the sea is relatively clear with a small area of snow still visible on the highst peaks.Yesterday was lovely, warm and sunny with some areas of Corfu reaching around 24oC., although the evening was relatively chilly. It looks like today is going to be even warmer
Todays readings at 9.45am on the 4th May are:- Temperature 18.1oC, humidity 71% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 21.0oC and the minimum was 12.8oC, the maximum humidity was 72% and the minimum 63% .
Starting to be a bit repetitive, we woke to clear blue skies with only a hint of high cloud and a very slight breeze. The summer haziness persists, but Albania is just visible across the Corfu Chanel. Yesterday was glorious, sunshine all day, with some parts of Corfu having temperatures in the mid twenties, here in Roda it was cooler. However the sun was still very fierce. I read my weather station and the shade temperature was 21oC, I then moved one of my other thermometers into the sun, the reading shot up to 31oC. I suspect there would have been some sun burnt people in the village. Once the sun has gone down the evenings are still chilly.
Today's readings at 9.50am on 5th May are:- Temperature 19.5oC and humidity 68% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 21.1oC and the minimum 13.4oC, the maximum humidity was 78% and the minimum was 68%. !
The high cloud we had first thing has burnt off, and we now have clear blue skies, warm sunshine and very little breeze. Albania is rising ever so beautifully from the haze that also affects the hills behind us. It promises to be yet another lovely day.Yesterday the thermometer in the sun recorded 32.7oC at 17.45pm
The readings for today 6th May at 9.25am are:- Temperature 19.5oC and Humidity 69% Yesterday's maximum temperature 23.1oC and minimum 14.6oC, the maximum humidity was 73% and the minimum 67%
This morning it continues to be warm and sunny with a slight breeze. We still have high cloud and continued haziness, but the sea is not as calm as yesterday, just slightly ruffled. Yesterday was hot and sunny all day with just the gentlest of winds leading onto a warm evening.
Today's readings at 10.10am on 7th April are:- Temperature 22.0oC and humidity 69% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.3oC and the minimum 15.3oC, the maximum humidity was 72% and the minimum 63%
Good morning from a sunny Roda, with clear blue skies, a little high cloud and a gentle breeze, Albania has just about disappeared, and the hills behind us are indistinct in the haze. Yesterday was a mixed day, after a nice start, with cloudy episodes in the late morning and early afternoon, but cleared to give a nice sunny early evening and a warm night.
Today's readings on 8th May at 9.35am are:- Temperature 21.2oC and humidity 76% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.8oC and the minimum 16.9oC, the maximum humidity was 72% and the minimum 65%.
Another glorious day in prospect. We have clear blue skies, sunshine, and just a gentle breeze coming off the sea.. There is the usual haziness over Albania and the hills behind us. Yesterday was lovely, but there was a bit of a breeze which gave us waves so we couldn't get a swim at our usual spot. It was a delightful evening with just a slight chill, the temperature at 11pm was a mild 21oC.
Today's readings at 10.00am on 9th May are:- Temperature 20.9oC and humidity 70% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.5oC and the minimum temperature was 16.8oC, the maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum 50%.
Another lovely morning to wake up to. Blue skies, some small clouds and no wind. The humidity is down so Albania is almost clear of haziness, as are the hills behind us. Yesterday was a another dry day, nice and hot, but slightly breezy, again catching some holiday makers out resulting in some red skin. The UV factor was 8 yesterday so please take care. It was a mild, still evening, 21oC at 10.30pm.
Today's readings for 9th. April at 9.55am are:- Temperature 19.2oC and humidity 66% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.3oC and the minimum 16.0oC, the maximum humidity was 67% and the minimum was 59%.
Again we awoke to clear blue skies, warm sunshine, barely a breeze, and the few clouds there are are stuck over the mountains of Albania. Yesterday had a lovely sunny morning that clouded over to give a cloudy but bright afternoon. We had literally one or two spots of rain early evening which then gave us a truly wonderful sunset and a mild night. The humidity had dropped by then and gave us lovely views of the Albanian mountains in the evening light. The temperature at 10.45pm was 20.7oC.
Today's readings on 11th. May at 9.45am are:- Temperature 21.2oC and humidity 61%. Yesterday's maximum temperature was 25.1oC and the minimum 15.8oC, the maximum humidity was 69% and the minimum 49%
Today we awoke to blue skies, fluffy white clouds and a cool breeze. The humidity is low so Albania and the hills behind us are fairly clear. Yesterday was a mixed day, we started with a sunny morning, it clouded over by early afternoon. We had a brief rumble of thunder, a miniscule shower of rain, then the skies cleared and the sun came out. It remained sunny with clouds but breezy for the rest of the day, with a mild evening.
Today's readings on 11th. May at 9.25am are:- Temperature 20.1oC and humidity 48% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.5oC and the minimum15.6oC, the maximum humidity was 61% and the minimum was 47%
Today the humidity is a bit higher so Albania is mysterious in the haze, and our hills are indistinct. However we have lovely blue skies, any clouds are very high and thin. There is a gentle breeze and it promises to be another lovely day. Yesterday was gorgeous with very warm sunshine all day, the UV factor was 8. The strong morning wind eased to almost nothing by the evening. It was 20.5oC at 10.25pm.
Today's readings for 13th May at 9.30am are:- Temperature 19.5oC and humidity 58% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.9oC and the minimum was 16.4oC, the maximum humidity was 57% and the minimum 42%.
Another lovely morning with sunshine, blues skies, the gentlest of breezes and only thin high clouds. There is the usual slight mistiness putting a thin veil over Albania and the Corfu hills. Yesterday was lovely all day, a sea breeze made itself known late morning, but it was all gone by late afternoon, and lead onto a calm mild evening. The temperature at 10.00pm was 21.4oC. The maximum UV factor was 8, so use that sunscreen, the sun is fierce!
Today's readings at 9.45am on 14th May are:- Temperature 19.6oC and humidity 53% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.1oC and the minimum 13.9oC, the maximum humidity was 67% and the minimum41%
