I have seen people leaning over the bridge beside Makris apartments just before the carpark excalaiming at all the terrapins there. Well I managed to get a quick snap of a couple of them. They were a good size, the larger one must have been around 20cm. in length.

One of the Yukka trees in front of my apartment block opened its flowers a day or so ago. Just love the pure white against the blue sky.

The fruit on the huge prickly pear cactus at the Eftichia Apartments, next to The Ammos Grill, look just about ready to eat. You need a special tool, looking like a cutout cup on a pole to gather the fruits. I have never tasted one, though I understand they a very sweet.

It was lovely to see the rosemary absolutely covered in flowers and being enjoyed by the insects I just had to take a photo and share it. I know you get rosemary in the UK and across Europe but it was a picture.

A couple of snaps of flowers in Angelina's garden. We are never without flowers, both wild or in gardens here in Corfu.

Yesterday on my walk to Farma for some veggies to make briam for my dinner I saw this lovely little clump of cyclamen. It is just wedged into the side of a wall inches from the road. The clump has been steadily getting bigger every year. I couldn't resist taking a photo to share, so dainty and beautiful.

It almost feels like spring has arrived just as official winter begins. A couple of shots taken a round the village of yellow sorrel at Makris apartments and wild little dorrit by Top Gear. Not photographed, but the tiny wild marigolds are turning their heads to the sun with the equally small campion, and cranes-foot are brightening up the verges. early irises have also been reported.

Whilst it isn't exactly flora or fauna but it comes under nature. Many of our summer visitors will never see water in the culverts around the village. This was taken a couple of days ago of the culvert beside the Theodorus Resort. The water wasn't very deep, maybe 30cms., but it was flowing so fast, though the picture can't show that properly.

Our back garden and nearby fields is full of these beautiful wild narcissi. They only grow wild in the Ionian islands, and have a lovely scent when picked, but they look so beautiful in the wild.

Hi, unfortunately your picture is not available. Love all your photos of Roda developments, waking up, and just the village in general. We are booked again for June and September in the wonderful Afrodite. Kind Regards, Trevor
