I hope this spell of weather lasts for Easter; I'm over on 26th for my 1st Greek Easter. Whilst it a nice sunny day here in South Bucks it is not expected to exceed 14c and it's due to turn rather cold at the weekend.

Whilst it a nice sunny day here in South Bucks it is not expected to exceed 14c and it's due to turn rather cold at the weekend. It is still too soon to get an accurate idea of what it will be like at Easter. As you will be in the village you must come to the church for midnight Saturday night for the real start to Easter Sunday. We will bring spare candles for you, and I suggest you get onto Cosmic travel at Kassiopi and do the boat trip down to see the pot throwing in Corfu town. The crowds will be huge as the two Easters are on different dates, and the atmosphere will be amazing.

Thank you Janiemou; as it my 1st Easter I was planning to stay in Town after the pot throwing for rest of day and for midnight Saturday. I am based in Sfakera so plan to go to their Church Easter Sunday assuming it will have a service.

Good morning from Roda. Again we are blessed with sunshine and blue skies, though there are one or two small clouds that get in the way once in a while. The visibility is quite good, though not that great clarity you can get here, and the seas have subsided a bit from yesterday, though I can still see white horses. There is a breeze wafting around the apartment but I think it will be stronger once we get nearer the shore.
Yesterday was lovely again but with the breeze taking the edge off the heat in the morning. No swimming as the seas were too rough. That breeze died down towards the end of the afternoon and gave us another lovely evening, though it was still a bit too cold to be eating outside at the grill room. It was surprising to see that the temperature at 10.30 pm was still 17°C. It wasn't exactly a clear night but we had almost a full moon, as the fireflies danced around us.
The readings at 10 am on Thursday 21 st. April 2016 are:- Temperature 19.6°C and humidity 52% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.7°C and the minimum was 15.8°C The maximum humidity was 69% and the minimum 47%
The reported UV for today is 7 ( Range 1- 11+). It is hot in the sun, take care and apply that sunscreen and seek shade around noon. UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice).

Not sure how you are planning to get to town but don't forget that parking will be very difficult. I am sure you will have an amazing time as the festivities run into the night.

Good morning from Roda. First I must apologise for any confusion around my post yesterday as I forgot to change the day, easy to do out here as we rarely know what day or date it is (I know, not even doing this report helps!). I have corrected my mistake now. Today we have sunshine and blue skies and wispy high clouds. There is hardly any wind, but the visibility is down on yesterday so Albania and our mountains are nowhere near as clear as yesterday, though Albania is still just visible across the channel. The sea has calmed down a lot so we are hopeful of a swim later on. We have not missed a day when we have not had breakfast on the balcony since we got back, some days we could do with the parasol, but not just yet, we are enjoying the warmth.
Yesterday stayed lovely all day with very nice temperatures, down a bit on that hottest day, but still very nice. We had a lovely walk to the beach, though the sea was a bit too rough to go in as its temperature takes a bit of getting used to. So we had an hour or two just soaking up the sun's rays. The evening walk into the village was still very pleasant, but needed that cardigan on the way back around 8 pm. I seem to be missing the sunsets at the moment, maybe because we are inside at the time, but we did have a lovely full moon with an ethereal ring around it as we walked back.
The readings at 10 am on Friday 22 Nd. April 2016 are:- Temperature 18.0°C and humidity 67% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.3°C and the minimum was 12.6°C The maximum humidity was 67% and the minimum 48%

Good morning from Roda. We have quite a good covering of clouds this morning with blue patches between them . The clouds don't appear to be the sort to give us rain. In fact it is quite warm and pleasant as there is no breeze. The night was quite mild as we had complete cloud cover and no wind. The visibility isn't that great as Albania and our mountains appear dark against the skyline. The sea is calm and beautiful, the look enhanced by the stately passing of a cruise liner heading north.
Yesterday started off well, but by early afternoon the clouds had started building up and by evening the skies were completely covered, it didn't stop us getting a couple of swims in. It was a bit chilly early evening as the wind had shifted direction and the waves were building up, but later on the wind had shifted again, the waves died down and it seemed warmer. A shower was forecast during the night but failed to materialise, so my washing was nice and dry this morning.
The readings at 10 am on Saturday 23rd. April 2016 are:- Temperature 18.9°C and humidity 69% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 21.0°C and the minimum was 12.6°C The maximum humidity was 75% and the minimum 59%
The reported UV for today is 6 ( Range 1- 11+). It is hot in the sun, take care and apply that sunscreen and seek shade around noon. You can still burn here even on cloudy days so still apply that sunscreen. UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice).

Good morning from Roda. We awoke to grey skies with lowering clouds and a cool breeze, and only an occasional glimpse of the sun. There is that strange light over the sea that, in Corfu, usually means rain. Albania is only making its presence known by the cap of heavy clouds where the mountains should be. The visibility despite the clouds of the hills and mountains round Roda is still good though. There has even been a roll or two of thunder.
Yesterday was mostly cloudy with the occasional sunny spell, but the cloud did get thicker as the day wore on into evening. The temperatures though were still mild, but the stiff breeze made it feel cool. The thunder and rain that had been forecast for Corfu did materialise on time. But here in Roda we only got some thunder just before midnight and literally a drop or two of rain, but elsewhere on the island there was a significant amount of rain. The geography of Corfu makes accurate weather forecasting a bit of a lottery as to when, where and even if the predicted events happen.
The readings at 10 am on Sunday 24 Th. April 2016 are:- Temperature 18.6°C and humidity 70% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.6°C and the minimum was 14.9°C The maximum humidity was 78% and the minimum 61%
The reported UV for today is 6 ( Range 1- 11+). It is hot in the sun, take care and apply that sunscreen and seek shade around noon. Good morning from Roda. We awoke to a mixed bag weather wise, there are dark menacing clouds, white fluffy things with blue patches of sky and intermittent sunshine. As I write this we are experiencing a short sharp shower and we have had a few of them so far.
Yesterday got increasingly cloudy and we had a short shower mid morning, but after that it started to improve and by evening we had almost wall to wall sunshine. The warmth of the sun was offset by the sharp breeze which made it feel quite cool at times. That was just relative, as I walked back to the apartment in the evening with bare legs and a cardigan over my dress and was quite comfortable. OK, the twin excuses of waves and/ or a cool wind have curtailed the swimming for the last few days.
The readings at 10 am on Monday 25 Th. April 2016 are:- Temperature 16.6°C and humidity 73% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.9°C and the minimum was 14.4°C The maximum humidity was 78% and the minimum 58%

There is no window on the weather from Roda this morning as updating Windows during some bad weather has scrambled our weather girl’s computer. Jan was just trying to update last night when a squall came from nowhere and lights across the area flashed on & off before deciding we needed to be in the dark for a while. She will be back with a report when all her bytes are once more in a row!

Good afternoon from Roda. We awoke to pounding seas and strong winds, very cloudy skies with some blue trying to show itself. Visibility is great as the storm seems to have cleared the air. Yesterday was very mixed with clouds and intermittent sunshine, but the wind was chilly so needed that cardigan. During the evening the clouds got darker, but they were out to sea. Not expected the high winds tat hit us by 9pm. Lost power as the wind and rain lashed down.
The temperature at 10am 26th April 13.3C and humidity 64% Yesterday's max 20.6C and min. 12.2C
Expected UV for today 6 range (1- 11)
Apologies for brief report, done on my tablet. Hope to get laptop back in next day or two[dig align="center"][/div]

Good morning from Roda.We awoke to a calm grey day with steady light rain. Albania is just a dim outline on the horizon, and low clouds have filled the valleys behind our foothills. It is not a great start for our first proper week of the season. At least it is better than the snow I have seen reported back home.
Yesterday started off well but the clouds built up late afternoon and the breeze freshened to chase us from the beach, so no swim. The evening stayed mild and cloudy with the cool breeze picking up at times.
The readings on Friday 29th. April are:- Temperature 15.3C and humidity 77% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 21.1C and the minimum 14.2C The maximum humidity was 70% and the minimum 60% The reported UV for today is 5 (Range 1- 11)

Good morning from Roda. We have blue skies, some thin high clouds and sunshine. It was hot on our balcony when we had breakfast. Albania is quite clear across the channel, and I think I can see a line of snow on the highest ridge! The mountains behind us are also free from haziness. At the moment there is a slight breeze which will be cool on the beach, it should be warm enough for a swim later.
Yesterday, after the wet start, steadily improved and the skies cleared to give us a lovely rest of the day, including a beautiful sunset. During the day we were treated to an amazingly clear Albania across the flat calm sea, decorated with drifts of clouds emphasising the valleys. It looked spectacular.
The readings today at 10am on 30th. April are:- Temperature 18.3C and humidity 73% The maximum temperature was 20.2C and the minimum 14.0C The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum was 56%
The reported UV for today is 7 (Range 1- 11) Some very white skin can be seen round the village. Take care that sun burns. We have already heard of a case of heat stroke, and lobster red skin!

Good morning from Roda and a happy Easter. We awoke this Easter Sunday to blue skies, but they soon clouded over, but it is still bright and warm. It should stay dry for all the lamb roasts today. Also it needs to be dry to pick flowers for the May 1st. stepanie (wreath of flowers to hang over the front door). The sea appears calm, though there were onshore waves yesterday, and the visibility is not bad.
Yesterday was lovely all day, though there was a cool breeze in exposed areas, it did feel a lot hotter than the temperatures recorded. The good weather continued into the mild evening, and we walked back under a starlit sky watching the fireworks from the surrounding villages.
The readings at 10am on Sunday 1st. May are: Temperature 20.5 C and humidity 71% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.1C and the minimum was 13.9C The maximum humidity was 78% and the minimum was 67%
The reported UV for today is 4 (range 1- 11) Take care if the sun comes out.

Good morning from Roda. We awoke to a bright but very cloudy morning, the sea was calm and the visibility good. However in the meantime we have had a few drops of rain, which weren't expected till this afternoon. The winds are kind at the moment but are expected to increase later on today. When the sun came out it was hot on my back.
Yesterday started off lovely but the skies had clouded over by 10am, but it was still bright and warm with good visibility. There were showers in the afternoon that built up in intensity and frequency until we had steady rain by mid evening.
The readings at 10am on Monday 2nd May are:- Temperature 16.8C and humidity 79% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 21.4C and the minimum was 12.5C The maximum humidity was 80% and the minimum was 68%
The reported UV for today is 4 (Range 1- 11)
