Thanks Steve, you are a star. Can I ask you one more question, does Nostos/NSK have safe deposit boxes. You will be charging us commission for all your hard work you do for us. xx
Jacks, there is 5 of us so will need 2 taxis but its worth the money to get us to Roda that bit quicker. Once my mum and dad sat on a bus at the airport for 2 hours waiting on another flight to come in and they vowed they would never to it again. Nikki gave me a couple of websites to look up for other options, need to decide quick as we will be arriving soon, woohoo.

Jacks I've never had a problem with Scottish Bank notes anywhere in Roda, or even in Acharavi for that matter. I've even exchanged a mixture of Scotish and the pretend Southern money at the same time and the only comment I've had is that the English stuff is so drab in comparison !!

I haven't had any bother either, Johno - just last year, someone looked at it a bit suspiciously & asked what it was. Hello, the £50 Sterling written on it, maybe gives a clue! lol

It's a pity me & Colin weren't going at the same time, we could've shared taxis. Maybe next year! lol Yeah, VERY soon! So excited!

Hi Susan, we haven't booked our transfer yet but I can see it being the shuttle bus again. It would be great to get to Roda quicker but can't really afford to pay for two taxis each way. Would rather spend the money in Roda. Wouldn't it be great if they had 7 seater taxis in Roda for the larger family.

Yeah, you'd think they'd maybe have bigger taxis or small mini-buses. If they did that, everyone arriving at the same time could just book one & have a party on the bus on the way up to the resort! lol

I remember back in the late 1980's when there was often 5 of us and Nikos always crammed us into one taxi.....Kerry always had to sit on somebodies knee, usually in the front....OMG. The boot would be half open because it was so full with all our cases and we had bags etc all round us in the car.....how times have changed. Happy Days .........

Hi Nikki, still not sure what we are doing yet, very tight budget this year so spending 100 euros on 2 taxis is a bit much. The last 2 years through Nostos they sent a mini bus, which was far too big for the 5 of us but it meant that we were all together but the cost was the same as 2 taxis. So yeah Jacks if there was loads of us arriving at the same time it would be a great way to get to roda quicker at a fraction of the cost and it would surely be a great party. x

Transfer Coach Vs Taxi ....... the great debate that we have every year on the Forum. Why the great rush to get to Roda ?? Rushing around, looking at your watch, " I'm late, I'm late" is for Home, not for on holiday. When the doors open on the 'plane at Corfu Airport I move into " Greek Maybe Time" Even the chaos at the baggage carousel can be fun if you just stand back and watch. You've just spent 4 hours travelling at 450 mph ( possibly with little comfort ! ) so why cram yourself into a taxi to save 40 - 50 mins. The transfer Coaches are by no means luxurious, but they are much more roomy than a taxi. I prefer the Coach to a taxi ( and not just because I'm a tight Jock !! ). With the elevated view on a coach you can actually see the 'Town' as you pass through and the views of the surrounding countryside ( even at night ) are spectacular. Homeward bound ....... taxi if I can afford it ....... I find it painful to leave Roda, but I like the leaving to be as swift as possible. Roda awaits ... only 9 days to go ..... I'll lift a glass ( or 5 ) to all my friends who read this ... Yammas !!!!

There is the option of hiring a small coach for larger parties. It doesn't really work out any cheaper unless there are more people to share the cost.

I agree Johnofish, I enjoy the coach trip (as long as it's got air conditioning), I look forward to spotting the sights and knowing am getting near to Roda, I remember the first year I came, the trip up the mountain I had my heart in my mouth, now it's part of the holiday.
