Hi Petra, Terrapins are small turtles, often with what are called "red ears", you see them in the stream leading to the sea , people stand on the bridge and feed them - quite a sight when there are hundreds of them ! Hope this helps. pete.

Thanks Pete ! , I just read the article on Terrapins at "Rodareports", didnt realise that it was a kind of name.... Never heard the story before, one more reason to come to Roda and see it myself, will they be there all summer long?? greetzz, Petra

When we've sorted the problem, Petra, you can see the photos of both types in Roda Reports. What do you call them in the Netherlands? It's quite unusual to find both types together, but we do in Roda.
