Yes, Sue and Steve, it is possible, and a nice walk along the beach to Alexandros on the beach. From the taxi rank you cross the small bridge and if lucky there may be some terrapins to see, then drop down onto the beach and follow the path. It is part stony and part sand. You pass the famous 'tree' which is even shown on Google maps as a viewing point. At night you would need a torch. Jan
