As soon as I know when the holiday companies start coming I will definitely be holding meetings for anyone who wants to attend. I will post time and place here, but it was always Wednesday at 11am. So, watch this space. Thank you Dave and Paula for your enthusiastic praise for the meetings. I enjoy them as it is a chance to meet new people and to share our love of Roda.

As soon as I can talk to the bar owners as to when then hope to open in the season, I will post dates, but as provisional dates shall we say Wednesday 5th May at Skouna. As everything is closed at the moment I am just guessing and hoping that there will be some sort of a season. EasyJet is certainly flying here direct from the end of March at the moment. Greek Easter weekend is the first weekend in May, so many places would hope to be open by then, but it all depends on the restrictions for Covid. I spoke to Yiannis from Express supermarket and he was hoping to open around the middle of May.

Now that we do seem to edging towards a season, I will start the Wednesday meetings for anyone who is out here and would like a catch up and a chat. I will start on Wednesday 8th July 11am at Yummies, thereafter at Skouna, or anywhere else anybody fancies. If you have mobility problems we will bring the meeting to you as long as I can get a couple of days notice to spread the word of the change.

The forum meetings will continue this season. I will be at Skouna every Wednesday at 11am, for a coffee or whatever poison you like, for a chat about anything and everything. I can also try to help or advise about any questions you have about Roda and Corfu in general.

With Skouna re-opening this weekend I will be resuming the forum meetings there at 11am on Wednesdays. Anyone can come and have a chat about anything and everything over a coffee or something stronger if that is what you like. Looking forward to seeing you all in the season. If Skouna doesn't suit just let me know and I will change the venue to somewhere more suitable.

I am changing the time of the forum meeting to 1pm on Wednesdays starting 25th May as I am now working in the mornings. If Skouna gets too busy then I will consider moving it to another time. Appogies for the short notice. Jan

The forum meetings will resume for the 2023 season on Wednesday 3rd May when all comers are welcome to catch up and chat about all things Roda, Corfu and Greece. It is a good opportunity to pick peoples brains about what to do whilst here in Roda. As I will be working in the morning for most of the season before I retire for the second time, the meetings will be at Skouna Cafe Bar on the seafront at 1pm. If another venue is more suitable for people with mobility issues I can move the venue as required. I'm looking forward to see old and new faces.

The forum meeting tomorrow 21st June will be at the Coffee Cat, it will be a good opportunity to see if the coffee is as good as I've been told, and I want to try the fresh baked bougatsa (Greek custard pie in filo). I will report back.
