Good morning from Roda. We awoke to cloudy skies with some blue patches, very little wind and good visibility. The valleys here and in Albania are full of mist, and the sea is a pretty shade of light green. We had a terrific thunder storm during the night with plenty of rain judging by the amount of water standing on the lawns. Sorry to report that it is quite cool with the night time temperature falling to 11C.
Yesterday was not great, starting off poor and gradually getting worse, with the wet spells outlasting the dry ones. Though we did get in and out of the village dry last night. As we walked back home mid-evening the views were so beautiful, everything in shades of grey, with a flat calm metallic silver sea dominating. Even in poor weather there is beauty here. The lightening started soon after, but we were snug indoors by then.
The readings at 10 am. on Tuesday 3rd. May are:- Temperature 13.5C and humidity 79% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 19.7C and the minimum 13.7C The maximum humidity was 82% and the minimum was 72% The reported UV for today is 4 (Range 1- 11)

Good afternoon from Roda. Sorry about the delay but it was the FGT this morning and then we had a quick trip to Kassiopi. The wild flowers in the hedgerow were so beautiful the whole way. I am still without my laptop so this is being done painstakingly on my tablet. We had a bright but cloudy start with thin high cloud and heavier lower ones clinging to the mountain tops. We have calm winds and great visibility, and choppy pale green seas.It is cooler than recently, and we had one or two spots of rain, nothing much though.
Yesterday, after the stormy night, got better as the day advanced. We eventually got a sunny afternoon that was very pleasant in the shade. Much better than Corfu town and the south where it rained heavily until mid day. The sunset was truly amazing with such a range of colours and great visibility.
The readings at 10am on Wednesday 4th. May are:- Temperature 16.8C and humidity 73% Yesterday's maximum temperature was16.9C and the minimum 11.4C The maximum humidity was 79% and the minimum was 62% The reported UV for today is 5 (Range 1- 11) Take care in the sun already have seen a few lobsters about!

Good morning from Roda. It is a glorious start to the day. Cloudless blue skies, a cool breeze and great visibility. The mountains of Albania are showing a fresh cap of snow, and the sea is a lovely shade of blue with some waves onshore.
Yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag. After the bright but cloudy start, the sun did break through to give us a lovely afternoon slightly spoilt by a cool breeze. By early evening the breeze had built up to give us strong winds and stormy seas. Our mountains were capped with evil looking clouds that gave us another amazing sunset. The strong winds continued well into the night.
The readings at 10am on Thursday 5th May are:- Temperature 16.9C and humidity 71% The maximum temperature was 18.8C and the minimum was 13.1C The maximum humidity was 80% and the minimum was 64%
The reported UV for today is 8 (Range 1-11) Sunscreen essential today.

Good morning from Roda. We have clear blue skies with only a few white fluffy things on the periphery. The visibilty is very good. There is hardly any wind and the seas are calm.
Yesterday was lovely all day, only marred by the cool wind. Some clouds did arrive after onto give us an impressive sunset. I expect many people were caught out by that high UV, hot in the sun but the shade was too cool. It was a pleasant evening, but not warm enough yet to dine on the beach, you needed shelter even though the wind had dropped to almost nothing by then.
The readings at 10am on Friday 6th May 2016 are:- Temperature 17.0C and humidity 66% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 19.3C and the minimum was 11.3C The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum was 49%
The reported UV for today is 7 (Range 1- 11) Take care in the sun and use sunscreen.

Good morning from Roda. We have blue skies with thin wispy clouds moderating the sun. The visibility is fairly good, there is little wind and the sea is blue and waveless. Looks like it will be another decent day.
Yesterday was lovely. Yes, the clouds did build up around midday as expected, but they were to the south of us and only gave a rumble or two of thunder. Then it all cleared to give a lovely evening for the village festival. When we walked back home just before midnight the band and the dancers were still going strong under a clear starlit sky. Mind you it was a bit chilly by then.
The readings at 10am on Sunday 8th May are:- Temperature 17.6C and humidity 71% The maximum temperature yesterday was 19.7C and the minimum was 11.6C The maximum humidity was 74% and the minimum was 60%

Good morning from Roda. We have blow skies, a lot of thin high cloud and plenty of warm sun shine. There is a general haziness particularly towards Albania, the very gentle breeze is not going to shift it, hopefully the sun will. The sea is calm and starting to warm up, but the swimming pools are still chilly.
Yesterday stayed mostly hot and sunny, though there was an odd time when the sun hid behind a cloud! There was still a persistent cool breeze that affected the temperature. Too hot in the sun, too cool in the shade. Many people were getting caught out by the strength of the sun's rays. The skies cleared by the evening to give us a lovely sunset. There was a starlit sky with some clouds by late evening.
The readings today at 10am on Monday 9th. May are: Temperature 18.7C and humidity 75% The maximum temperature yesterday was 20.3C and the minimum was 11.6C The maximum humidity was 74% and the minimum was 58%
The reported UV for today is 7 (Range 1- 11) Lots of sunscreen required today.

Good morning from Roda. We have blue skies, some faint high clouds, a gentle breeze and sunshine. There is a lot of haziness towards Albania which is just a shadow on the horizon across the blue sea, but it is less here on Corfu , as Karousades can clearly be seen on it's hillside. It is forecast to be beautiful again.
Yesterday was a lovely day. The thin high clouds disappeared to give us clear blue skies, there was barely any wind, so it felt less chilly in the shadows. The sea was calm, and on Roda beach in the shallows it was lovely and warm. The day slid into night via a pretty sunset to give us a starlit sky and an amazing waning gibbous moon.
The readings at 10am. on Tuesday 10th May are: Temperature 19.6C and humidity 73% The maximum temperature yesterday was 20.9C and the minimum was 12.8C The maximum humidity was 75% and the minimum was 59%
The reported UV for today is 8 (Range 1- 11) That is high, so lots of suncream to prevent the lobster look.

Good afternoon from Roda. Apologies for my late report, forced by a combination of factors, mainly due to the FGT and my family being here. Still no laptop, how I miss it. We had full cloud cover this morning, a gentle breeze, a calm sea and poor visibility. It was warm though and bright enough as the sun was making a valient effort to break through the clouds.
Yesterday started off lovely but by late afternoon high cloud had built up to shade the day. However by early evening it had all evaporated away to give us clear skies. Despite this the sunset was a non event as the day slipped into a starlit night. The breeze remained gentle all day giving lovely calm seas.
The readings t 10am on Wednesday 10th. May are:- Temperature 19.2C and humidity 69% The maximum temperature yesterday was 21.4C and the minimum was 12.8C The maximum humidity was 75% and the minimum was 55% The reported UV for today is 4 (Range 1- 11) but if that sun comes out it will be high like yesterday.

Good morning from Roda. We have a full sky of clouds, though still bright, strong southerly gusting wind and squally showers, it is warm though. The sea is calm but the visibility is poor. Albania has run away from the poor weather. This is only forecast for today, so should be back to sunny tomorrow.
Yesterday saw the sun breaking through by the afternoon as the thicker clouds had dispersed to leave us with thin high ones. We got some nice sunny spells before the clouds rolled in again. It got very warm and humid by late afternoon with Roda being a degree or two warmer than most places around the north. The evening gave some short sharp showers and we could see the lightening over Sarande.
The readings at 10am on Thursday 12th May are:- Temperature 20C and humidity 69% The maximum temperature yesterday was 25.8C and the minimum was 13.7C The maximum humidity was 69% and the minimum 48%
The reported UV for today is 5 (Range 1- 11). Not sure there will be any sunbathing today!

Good afternoon from Roda. Sorry about the delay but had to attend to family business. What a difference a day makes! We got up to clear blue skies and sunshine. When the eyes fully opened we had a few fluffy clouds, especially capping the mountains of Albania. The visibility was great and we had little in the way of a breeze and lovely calm blue seas.
Yesterday was not as bad as forecast. We did have strong winds at times and squally showers with distant thunder rolling in the distance. There were brighter spells and by early evening the showers had stopped and the wind abatted. The day was much milder than it felt, so the evening felt quite pleasant.
The readings at 10am on Friday 13th 2016 were:- Temperature 20.0C and humidity 69% The maximum temperature yesterday was 23.1C and the minimum was 17.6C The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum was 66%
The reported UV for today is 8 (Range 1- 11) Sunscreen essential.

Good afternoon from Roda. Yes, I am late again. I had to see my family off back to the UK after their little holiday here, and then I had to go and pick up my laptop from the amazing Elias at Data Expert, who has got me up and running again with no loss of files. I missed it sorely. Back to the weather though. We awoke to heavy clouds being held back by the mountains behind us, and there were thin high clouds to the north. The sun was out, but it was windy and the visibility, especially towards Albania was not good. The sea was calm.
Yesterday was brilliant all day, hot, sunny and a slight breeze. Albania retained its cap of clouds most of the day, but we stayed cloud free mostly. The lovely day slipped through an insignificant sunset into a starlit night, and it was warm enough for a show of fireflies, but not in great numbers.
The readings at 10 am on Saturday 14th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 20.3°C and humidity 68%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.1°C and the minimum was 16.5°C The maximum humidity was 68% and the minimum 42%
The reported UV for today is 8 ( Range 1- 11+). It is hot in the sun, take care and apply that sunscreen and seek shade around noon. UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice).
