We will report further on this, but Alexandros Taverna in the village have had a great trio of local musicians & singers tonight, playing traditional music. Yesterday, they had their normal Greek night, but this time with traditionally dressed dancers in the street. Many 'Greek nights' are much the same, but these were certainly different.

What Steve failed to mention was that the dancers were in traditional Corfiot costumes, the ladies had elaborate floral headdresses with lace scarves and embroidered aprons, and the man had a straw hat, and typical peasant attire. So good to see as opposed to the generic black and white with red sashes.

Hello, I am new to your site but not to Corfu. I was in Roda and in Alexandros Taverna on the 24th May. The bouzouki trio were very entertaining, music, singing and even the dance with the glass of water (ouzo) on the head. The food was excellent as well. Great evening. I will return there when next back mid to end July 2015.
