There was quite a dramatic storm rumbling around a couple of days ago, mostly to the east of Roda:

Would you believe that we saw nothing of this in Kavadades in the NW. Looking through the valley we could see the storm in Sidari but it never reached us. Blessed obviously, or not as I would love some rain as the garden is like concrete. x

Wow! we didn't see a waterspout, Chris, although I did see three once in roughly the same place. I was about to make a run for it when they collapsed ...

From Roda, annie, most bad weather seems to start in Kavadades! ... although this one was more over the mainland. The hour or so of rain on our garden was better than a week's worth of watering ... why does nature do it so much better?

That's an awesome picture Chris, We were staying on the corner room at the Pegasus about 14 years ago when one appeared over Sidari but luckily went north and finally fizzled away. I did have a video of it but like most things I lent it to someone and never had it back.
Nice one

As with most of Europe, the weather in Greece has been different this summer. The Adriatic storm forecast for tomorrow night now seems to be less troublesome for Corfu than was first thought. We may get rain and thunder overnight tomorrow (Wednesday), but nowhere near the intensity that was first forecast.

Waterspout outbreak between Corfu and the mainland on September 10th 2015; 5 waterspouts and 3 funnel clouds were observed . . .
