Yesterday's storm has eased, just lower temperatures now for a day or two. The first two are the view from our balcony at midday: .. and then to the harbour: .. the beach and our favourite blue boat: You've all heard of 'Spot', the dog - but can you?

Spot is between the boats in the Harbour Pictures, between the middle two.
The storm did not look too bad then.

I've just been out, John, and Andreas has the biggest seaweed compost heap I've ever seen in the triangle to formed by the new car park. The storm has loosened it all and it's starting to come ashore.

Not too bad by British standards Chris - I've see it worse at Rhyl in the summer! ;D
The thing is, we are all so used to seeing the beach all raked over and looking tidy, that its natural winter state is a bit of a shock. The very gradual slope of the beach at Roda, the thing that makes it such a safe resort, lets the full flow of any storm come right up to the road. It was worse last November.
'Spot', the dog is actually Petra who chases real & imaginary birds around the harbour at the slightest opportunity. Well, that's what setters do! ;D

You'll need a haymaking fork and about two weeks, John - the problem is, I suspect it will be coming in as fast as you can shift it! Steve

Great pics, Steve. Thanks for posting.
It's weird seeing Roda like that.
