That's a bit further south, Chris. We would love to go to Butrint, but with Julie being in a wheelchair it's just about impossible. we read a couple of years ago that a chess set was found there which pre-dated the oldest known chess set by something like 2,500 years. If you forget today's boundaries and try to imagine the geography of Butrint & Corfu together, you can see what an important area it must have been ever since trade between different peoples began. Whoever controlled the straits must have been very powerful.

The high rise buildings was a clue that it was nowhere near Roda but I didn't realise that you could see it so clearly from where the picture was taken from. I think that I will pass on the palm sandwich 'cause I really don't have a clue on that one. JackieM
