Well if that is not complaining what is? or are you being pedantic and calling it moaning? Like I said I am always informed when the flights become available, yes they give dates on their site and change them, I would prefer to get cheap flights than have emails stating they have changed this or that and have to put up prices to pay for this. Like I said a lot of this comes from people who have no intention of using them to get to Corfu, CC

At last, ;D ;D,Easyjet have released their prices and bookings for 2009, , and it looks like the prices from Gatwick at least look good. So to finish off my pursuit of prices, here are the links for you, with some examples of costs below.
EASYJET BOOKING FORM
EASYJET PRICES FOR APRIL/MAY
To travel in May, for the first two weeks, is £121.38 return per person. This price includes 20kg of Hold Baggage, Taxes and Charges. I do think this price is brilliant. Two weeks at the beginning of August, return flight is £170.38.
Using the Thomas Cook link to book Easyjet Flights, one finds the same date flights for £142.43 and £243.53 respectively. A fair difference when using a third party.
Do remember, the more that book the prices begin to rise.

GREEK EASTER 2009
EasyJet will seemingly be operating flights to Corfu from April 1st 2009. This is great news for those wanting to experience the Greek Orthodox Easter celebrations. Easter Sunday in Greece in 2009 is on April 19 and, as with many Greek events, the celebrations start some days before. There is accommodation available - let us know if you need help.
So, come on folks, who is going to enjoy their first Greek Easter?

Sounds a great idea. Sadly Elaine and myself have already booked our holiday for that time of year. And then we have our first grandaughters birth. Will have to see what comes after that.

Steve/Chris or others: is it the same in the UK as it is in Holland that if you book f.i. Easyjet through Thomas Cook , you are "insured" in case of a backruptcy? so if you book directly to easyjet or another pricefighter you loose all your money?

Hi Petra. The following is taken from the Easyjet website:
Referring back to the XL issue, I am now wondering that if EJ are not ATOL register, regardless of their booking scheme, I wonder what would happen if the same did happen. The only thing is, is to make sure you book using a Credit or Debit Card.

If using a debit card make sure it is a VISA debit card, if in doubt check with your bank, some types of debit card do not cover you. If I recall correctly Easyjet at present are one big profitable company and I do not worry about giving them my money in advance, CC

Cuthbert it was just a hypothetical question ( do you have "shares " in Easyjet? sorry just joking): I am asking this because we would like to fly Airberlin next summer. But the people at the travelagency warned us not to book directly to airberlin (or another pricefighter, easyjet doesnt fly from holland to corfu) , but through a touroperator like Thomas Cook, DeJong (dutch) or Alltours (german). Because In case Airberlin (or any other company) should have financial problems in the future, a special fund would give us our money back. And that would not be the case if we book directly to Airberlin. I will ask my travelagent about the creditcard story though, thanx chris.

Petra, it all depends how much you trust the company, of course an agent will say book through me as he will get commission but at what price? As for using your credit card I do not know the rules in your country, here we are covered if the fim goes bust. I personally would trust Air Berlin, CC

What we are trying to ascertain the difference between those with ATOL and those without. As we know, the majority of flight only tickets are not ATOL accounted, of which EJ is one of them, ie, not ATOL registered. It is great if you have the appropriate card, and can retrieve all or the majority of your money, but for those who can not, it is a different story as we saw in the summer.

One I would first of all say I gave the correct advice using debit cards, two as I stated rules are different in other countries, three it is the old story buyer beware and you cannot pay cash to Easyjet except at the airport which normally means on day of flight. I cannot understand why you go on about ATOL the only way it covers you is if you use an agent like we found out when XL went bust. Like I stated earlier most of the moaning comes from people who never use them to come to Corfu CC
