Hi Jules,
Welcome to the forum. We are not out again until 18th October, but last year was out same time as you and there was still a lot open. Pirates bar is one of our favourites and it is right on the sea front, they do nice bar meals. We also like Maggies just up from the beach in the old part of Roda, excellent meals and great hosts, but think they will be shut before you go. Anyway I know you will get plenty of replys on here with other peoples recommendations. Enjoy your first visit to Roda!!!
Andy.

Have checked with a few today and Big Ben will close tomorrow, Roda Inn soon, Dolphin will stay open until the end of the month, as will Crusoe's Bar next door. Sandy's Arms seems to suit people at this time of year and Sandy seems to have a regular clientele now. I will tell you more as I get around everyone.
One interesting development is that Mitsis must have had a bit of a sale and I was told today that they will have 1500 people up until November 2nd. Let's hope the weather is good enough for them to get into the village and keep things moving along - at least, in the daytime.

WoW !! Wish I had some leave left ..... I wouldn't normally consider All -in but for that price I would. I'd probably still spend most of my time in the Village though !! ;D Welcome Jules.... hope you have a great time

Im interested in staying at Mitsis again as we stayed last May for a week and was thinking of pushing the boat out and staying for two weeks this year.
Artisans could you tell me where the offer you mention was from as we where thinking of waiting for a lower price rather than commit to Thomas Cook.
Me and the wife absolutely love Roda.

Hi Chris, Steve is in the U.K. at the moment and doesn't have internet access. I think that special offer was an end of season sale for last october and probably wouldn't apply for this year's prices. pete.

Pete is right, Chris, the special prices at Mitsis were an attempt to fill the place up at the end of the 2010 season. Not sure what 2011 will bring.
