We arrived back from Roda last Tues am after another great 2wks in the sun,unfortunately it had a slightly sour ending when our coach never turned up,we where staying at elizabeth with FIRST CHOICE and the notice board stated the pickup would be at 22:10,we waited on a street corner just down the road from Elizabeth until 22:45 and still no coach. I then went back to the Elizabeth to try and find out what what going on,after a couple of phone calls to our rep and to the airport it seems the coach did come but at 21:30 not 22:10 ,we where not told why but they where sorry ,a taxi was booked for us and we arrived at the airport just as check in was starting. I was then confronted by a First choice airport coardinator,she wanted to know who told me the coach would be there at 22:10,I said it was on the board,I do not bother meeting the reps on holiday unless i need something as we have been to Roda before,she told me wait for her to make a phonecall and she would come back. On returning she was ever so sorry,previously she had the attitude it was my ***** up and I could see me getting the bill for the taxi,she had phoned Elizabeth and asked them to read off the information on the board(22:10),she had no idea why those times where there and how long for?? Any one else been caught out by this? Anyway we still had a great time and hope to be back soon

That must have been very stressful for you rhiandave22.............glad it all worked out ok in the end............pleased to hear you enjoyed your hols...........we should be there in 3weeks time...............got tickets......whoopie

This happened to us too. The board said 22.10. We were sat in the bar and heard a horn beeping at 9.30. We checked the board and there was another pick up at 9.30 but for a flight to another British airport. The horn carried on sounding for another 5 mins so Helen went to investigate. The coach was for us and the driver was very irate when we got there. This must happen every week! First Choice need to do something about this. Some guests might not be back at the apartments and miss the coach altogether like you did. Luv Jan X

As there are less tourists this year, I wonder if the coaches are doubling up for economy. Someone is making these decisions and failing to communicate both with the reps and the holidaymakers. If it's being done to save money, how do they reconcile that against taxi costs and claims from inconvenienced visitors?
