Good news indeed Chris, perhaps the tour companies are beginning to realise that people do want to go to Corfu no matter what they think. pete.

I have to admit, there has been a group of us campaigning on behalf of the airport along with other travel groups to get Bournemouth Airport used more, particular in hindsight of its brand new Departure Terminal, and the new Arrivals Lounge about to be started. It does have International Status. Back sometime now a number of us got into meetings with MAG, and Bournemouth Airport.
Whether it is a direct result we do not know, but as one of the group said yesterday, it may have helped.
Lets hope it gets used, or like others it will be removed from service.

Great to hear Chris. The little 'push' from your 'pressure group' may well have tipped the balance. To you and all your friends ...... Good on yer!!!

If our little push had something to do with it, then it goes to show that a bit of pressure from the general public can help. More and more of us should be getting amongst it, and telling our Tour Ops and Travel Agents what we want.
If our little push did not matter, at least we have the thought that it did, and that Bournemouth now has three different carriers to Corfu.
Of course added to this, we also have the Manchester link up, which will or can offer an alternative route, timings, etc to our favourite island.
