Today is a big day in Corfu as the Island's patron saint is celebrated with a local holiday as it is the name day for all those called Spiros or Spiridoula. If you know anyone with those names, they would be delighted to hear from you on what is a very special day.

And so I did, I sent Pipitsa a textmessage yesterday ,because of her nameday ,wishing her `Xronia polla`, many years to come.. This afternoon I received a phonecall from her to thank me for the message... She had news as well, good and bad. The good news is: for next holidayseason Pipitsa will provide her guests with wireless internet, so all those who would like to bring their laptops to Pipitsas apartments , can use Pipitsas internetconnection. And MORE good news is, that she is going to order a few laptops (in UK, at least in english ) for her customers to use during their holidays ! So even if you cannot bring your own laptop, you can use a computer / have internet access if you stay at Pipitsas luxury apartments ! The bad news Pipitsa told me, is that she had an accident last week. She went to Roda to clean the carpets (together with the woman who helps her in the summertime as well) in the apartments. Somehow she tripped or slipped and fell on her knee. An ambulance came to take her to the hospital. She told me nothing was broken and she is at home now but in bed. Everyday she is feeling a little bit better , but she is still worried because she cannot stand on her leg/put weight on her knee yet. I hope she will have a quick recovery.
