Everyone asks 'what's the weather like in September, or October, will I be OK'?
As with most other countries, the answer has always to be 'variable', 'summer giving way to winter', 'mostly good, but some rain'. Well, the last couple of days have been just that, cloudy with some sun, mostly warm and a brief shower. The winds are mostly light and from the east, causing the weather to 'get stuck' a little. The rain we have had has been pitiful, not for the visitors, but for the locals who have a keen interest in their gardens. Winemaking seems to be a bit late this year as a result of - 'the weather' - no two years are the same, but it seems to be in full swing now.
For those arriving next week, the winds are forecast to freshen a little overnight which should bring less cloud and more sun. There is still at least a month or two when the weather can be predominantly good - October's tourists could still be in for a real treat.

A couple of years back we went for the last week of the season & the weather was glorious. We spent all week walking around in shorts & Tshirts whilst the locals were all wearing jeans & sweatshirts.
