Sitting chatting at today's 'fgt' and an old friend appeared in the bay - the dreaded dredger!! We know that its services have been in demand around the north & west coasts lately as well as one of the islands offshore, but we had no idea that Roda was on the list. Anyway, it was straight to work, but a few creaks & groans later, it was siesta time. We've heard nothing since.
The meeting was well attended by Wally (fireman) & Fiona, Linda (spanisheyes) & Steve and two new faces, May (Mae?) & Ricky from Falkirk. Look out for them joining up on their return under the name 'superpapa'. Like most of us, May & Ricky came for the first time four years ago and have been returning ever since. long may they do so.

Hi Ricky and May, glad you made it to the meeting like you said. You will have to write a message when you get home. Until then I hope to see you sometime later this week.

It was nice to meet Wally and his missus and also Ricky and May at the FGT and Ricky and May joined us in Crusoes one night for a few drinks . And i can't believe that Ricky is 69 years old and May is 70 years old and they look very well for their age.

Shame about the Metaxa, Steve. It was good to see you and Linda and we look forward to meeting again next year - unless we come to Hull on holiday! ;D Looking at the middle picture of the dredger, there was some speculation as to why the sand had been laid on top of the harbour. Talk is that it will form a base for a concrete walkway. They'll have to be quick before we have the first storm! Steve
