Olympic Holidays was reported yesterday to have said that it has cut the majority of prices for its Summer Sun 2010 brochure and early-booking deals include discounts of up to £200 for holidays booked by the end of the year.
Prices lead in at £225 for seven nights at an apartment on Corfu.
Anyone have experience of this yet?

Yes, we are coming on 2nd August 2010 and got nearly £400.00 off the price for 4 adults and 1 child! Staying in "maisonette" at Theodoros Fiona. I do object to having to pay extra for extra luggage though....15kg is not enough for 2 weeks. Nicola

Hi Nicola - better to have your clothes laundered by Lucy in 'Holiday Wash' than to give your hard-earned money to the airlines for excess baggage.

My thoughts exactly, Jacks. By the way, did you forget to buy some Roda honey? Pauline had to fight her way through 40,000 bees for that one jar and it was there with your name on it! Steve

I have been on the ''olympic'' website for holidays from Newcastle. It appears that they don't do flights only. The first holiday availble was for 19th July staying at the Elenitsa Studios, the cost being £452 each. The price for 30th August was £378 each, both holidays were for two weeks. Dosn't look like a price cut to me. Jacks, what is wrong with the Elenitsa Studios?.
Brian.

Steve, I didn't get a chance to get round to Pauline. There were a few things I didn't manage to do, tbh.
Re: Elinitsa - while I was there, there were about 4 parties moved from the Elinitsa to other apartments, cos the Elinitsa were so bad - aparantley!

@nicola : of course you could go to Lucy's holiday wash, that way you wouldn't need the 15 kilos! I think Theo has a kind of laundrette as well... BUT you would have to dry and iron everything yourself About the kilos you bring with you: this year we changed from "hardshell" suitcases to big sports-suitcases, these suitcases don't weigh as much as the "hardshell" cases, we could take about 3 kilos more "stuff" each. The only problem is if you want to take bottles (of olive-oil) home ......that's why 1 of us took the old suitcase ,and we could bring(RodaPark)Kostas' wonderful olive oil back home safely. Thanks again Kosta!!!! The bottle is almost empty now, so I have to try to visit RodaPark during my stay soon, to buy some more! petra

We stayed at the Elinitsa two summers ago, it was always clean but the studio room for 3 was extremely poky and not having outside space was very annoying. We did look at one of the bigger apartments one day when no one was staying in it and that actually looked very nice, spacious and bright. The position of them was great for us, I am a single mum and feel safer in the centre of the village, they were very central and close to the supermarket but they were also very quiet. I would stay there again but in one of the bigger apartments.

We have been pricing a fornight for 4 for next year with Olympic at the Theodoros and from the first time we looked in June upto yesterday the price for our particular fortnight has stayed exactly the same - no reduction for what we want - havent booked yet though!
regards, Kath

Does anyone have a link to the Olympic Holidays 2010. When I search, and put in my details it only comes up with 2009 holidays, or tells me there is nothing for 2010. Thank you.

Chris, I had that problem until I realised that Olympic have stopped flying out of Stansted for 2010. perhaps they do not include your local airport any more? Nicola
