Love or hate the budget airlines , i cannot fault our first time travelling with easy jet. Both flights were more or less on time, because everyone was travelling independently there were no queus at the airport on the return journey as everyone turned up at different times and the big plus was that there were no little hitlers making you line up outside like a gang of school children waiting for the bell for the next class. Another plus on the retrurn leg was that because it was a 11.30 p.m take off they didn't spend the entire flight pushing their trolleys up & down the plane, they just announced before take off that if you wanted food, drink or perfumes etc all you had to do was to push your call button and they would come to you. When you add in the fact that the airport was almost desserted at that time of night and the cost of the flights - £174 for the two of us, i for one will be using them again. pete.

So good to read your review regarding EasyJet Pete. Having used this company myself in the past, I cannot fault them, unlike another Low Cost airline, I care not to mention. Can I asked which airport you flew from and back to please. I have to agree with you, although there are the disadvantages of arriving back early hours of the morning, there is also the advantages of having no hussle bussle at the departure airports. Cheers Pete.

Hi Chris, we flew in & out from manchester, even when we left the u.k. we used terminal 3 at manchester which is much smaller & quieter than the others. We always used to go for the earliest u.k. flight out that we could get but because of the late return we got to stay in Roda for an extra full day, only leaving the village at 19.30 hrs. pete.

Cheers Pete for that information. I sometimes wonder whether it would be cost effective if one could drive to another airport and take advantage of cheaper, more relaxing flights and airports. If we are lucky we fly from Bournemouth, but at present it is only Palmair and Thomsonfly, and no No Frills flights. Sometimes we have to go to Gatwick if we want a cheaper option, but that is increased by fares to London. It is swings and roundabouts really, but worth a look in if a few of you are going from the same place.
Dare I add this to this forum, but I thought you might be interested in another well known forums opinions, in particular of a Monday morning flight using Easyjet from Manchester.

I could be tempted for next year, if the prices are as good. Just wish they'd fly from Glasgow..... I can dream, can't I? lol

Thanks for that Chris, just had a look at the other site & the majority of views echo my own. If you can book early and get the really cheap deals then it's got to be worth using them. pete.
