It is sad news today.
Julia Ambrose died yesterday, Thursday 3 September, aged 72
Julia, a long term resident of Sfakera, was a familiar face in Roda.
She was a great friend not only to the local community but also to the local stray cats and dogs and for many years travelled around on her scooter feeding the strays with food provided with money from her own pocket.
The funeral is expected to be today, Friday 4th September but it has not yet been confirmed.
Julia will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts are with her family and close friends.

RIP Julia. I didn't know this lady but her compassion and kindness to the stray animals makes her a soul sister with the work I do here in the UK. May she rest easy.

So so sorry to read that Julia has died - we have known her for many many years. The work she did feeding the stray animals in and around Roda was legendary and the world will be a sadder place without her.
