It would seem that easyJet are currently including the cost of travel insurance in their prices. Be quick, these offers never last for long!

Just read today that the dutch website cheaptickets.nl offers ticket-insurance incase the airlinecompany goes "bankrupt" , it only costs 6 euros p.p. (max. insured is 1500 euros pp). I also read that another airline "went down" ,I think it was only yesterday: Sky Europe , they used to fly from Amsterdam to Athens.

Thanks Petra, the no-frills airline SkyEurope has suspended all its operations because of what it described as a 'lack of sufficient interim funding'. The airline has been in bankruptcy protection since June but said it had found investors to secure its future. However, it suspended all flights yesterday, and trading in its shares was suspended.
SkyEurope flew mainly in eastern Europe but operated five UK routes from Luton and hundreds of passengers have been left stranded at European airports. Refunds are unlikely.
