Hi everyone, Has anyone been to the Hydropolis Waterpark and if so, was it any good?. I really don't want to travel to the big waterpark in Corfu as it is a long-ish journey - so I'm told.
How easy is it to get to Hydropolis by bus or taxi ( we are staying at Nino's on the Beach).
This is only our second (of many i hope) visits to Roda, we have NEVER holidayed at the same resort or even island before and we loved Roda when we visited last year so decided to book again.
I welcome any comments about it such as value for money and food you can purchase etc.
Many thanks Andrea (andipandi)

I have been there once and can't really remember the cost of it, but one thing I do remember is the wasps , there were million of them, and even thou we had a great day I would not return as I hate wasps..... I have been to a place in Sidari a couple of times with a couple of slides which is fun and only a short taxi drive from Roda.... Blonde moment SORRY!!!! Just realised that I'm talking about Aqualand and your asking about Hydropolis in Acharavi.... Not been to that one but my sister has and if I remember rightly Makis took her I was pregnant at the time but I know she loved it!!!!!

Hi Andrea - we've never been but we believe that Nostos Travel (see Roda Pages for contact details) run a daily trip, some days are all-inclusive and, amazingly, it is cheaper to go on their trip than to turn up at Hydropolis and pay at the gate. We think the all-inclusive days are Mondays & Thursdays and it is less than 10 minutes from Roda. If you want more, let us know,

Andrea, I've been to Hydropolis a couple of times.
It's not bad for a day out or half a day out probably. I've been on one of their all inclusive days and thought it wasn't so good. The free wine and especially the beer was rubbish and served in plastic cups. The queues were pretty big as well. I ended up buying my own 'proper' drinks at the nice circular bar. The free food looked ok, but there was a bit of a stampede when it opened at about 1ish. I reckon it's better to go on a day when it's not all inclusive personally. As I said earlier it's not really a full day out but more of a half day. I do believe they do cheaper tickets after 2pm ish. Aqualand is much bigger with better attractions, but is more than twice the price. From Nino's a taxi would probably cost 5 or 6 euros. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 for value.

Hi Andrea, I went to Hydropolis last year with my wife, daughter her husband and my six year old grandson. We loved it, we did'nt go all inclusive just caught the bus there and back it drops you right outside. The pools and lazy river are great along with slides for older kids. The restaurant was ok as was the kiosk for ice cream and drinks. It is a good day out and value for money compared to Aqualand. Hope this helps. Tony
