On 27th & 28th June, the 'Organisation for Security & Co-operation in Europe' will hold an informal meeting of some 50 government officials.
The venue was chosen by Greek Foreign Affairs Minister, Dora Bakoyannis and it is an honour that the meeting will be held in Corfu, but can somebody tell me why Hilary Clinton is involved?

Perhaps it is because she is the United States, Secretary of State. The highest Security Position in the US.
The US has a big interest in the Security of Europe, and North America are represented in the OSCE (The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe). Which obviously means they have a representative at any conferences or meetings.

Probably what we are meant to believe Petra, but I do not think so now. Two great powers such as Europe and the USA, and the majority of both being in NATO, and indeed the UN. It is imperative that we all work together for the common good of Europe, and hopefully the world.

Due to a recent injury and operation to her elbow, Hilary Clinton will not now be visiting Corfu for the OSCE Summitt. Under Secretary of State William Burns will be leading the American contingent.

Oh dear, what a shame about Hilary!! Julie's aunt broke her wrist in several places just before she was due to visit Corfu, but she made it. It's a matter of commitment!
