Some of you will have heard of the Corfu Donkey Rescue Centre located near Liapades, and run by an lovely English lady called Judy Quinn. As with any charity they are always fighting for financial support whether it is in the form of money, or some other sort of support. The CDR has been entere into a Poll organised by a Dutch Animal Feed Company called Pavo. At present, the CDR is way out in front with a overal 20% lead, and some 760 points ahead. Two days ago they were behind, until myself and others started informing all Corfu forums. The competition still has the best part of a month to go, so all votes are still accountable. Anyone can vote, members or guests by clicking on the following link, PAVO - CORFU DONKEY RESCUE POLLThe winning rescue centre will receive a prize of €1000, which is much needed by the CDR and Judy Quinn. I have visited this centre, and it is amazing how much work goes on with minimal resources, but at the same time to see how the donkeys who were once over worked, neglected, beaten are now happy and contented. Please vote for the CDR. For more information on the CDR, go to the following link, CORFU DONKEY RESCUEThank you. Yeiamas, Chris Photograph taken from CDR web site

Of course, Dave, and I've ironed your one & only T shirt but it went pink in the wash! I can just imagine you on a donkey, Linda side-saddle behind you, ambling down to the village at night - you'll need lights at this time of year though!

CDR are now some 22% ahead of the total, with a vote lead of 821 votes. So doing well, but need more. Keep them coming. Perhaps Julie or Steve would be so kind to send an all members PM or Email. Cheers.

Remind me again Chris, what is the deadline for voting? Steve Hi Steve. The voting takes place upto the 15th March 2009, another month to go roughly. So still many votes needed to keep that lead that CDR has. At this time CDR are 856 points ahead, holding 53% of the vote. A good margin, but still more needed. I have sent the same message to half a dozen other sites (although one would not allow me access) who have sent out an all member PM or Email. Cheers Steve. Yeiamas, Chris
