Does anyone know approximately how long it takes to walk to Astrakeri ?
Are there other ways than walking the road at all ? Maybe short cuts leading to the hotels at the Roda end rather than down the steep hill past the fish restaurant ?
Assuming we actually get out of Manchester that is π

I will check with one of my walking friends but think there is a way passed the Roda Beach all inclusine to the Agnos beach and from there to Astrakeri as it is a serious walk along the road otherwise. Jan

Hi, we've just come back from Roda. We walked along the road and up towards Roda beach but we turned down to the Alexandros beach taverna for a coffee. We then walked along the beach past the All inclusive hotel to the headland. My husband climbed over the rocks to see if you could get around but he thinks that you would have to wade through the water. It isn't deep around Roda but he wasn't sure how deep it would be if we tried.

Yes you cannot get passed the headland without wading and I know it was done in the past but the sea changes so much I wouldn't recommend it. OK from Afrodite walk over the bridge heading away from the village take the first right up a steep hill. Follow the road around bearing left passed the Roda Beach all inclusive. You come to a T junction. Turn right. You continue down hill along this road passed the entrance to Ibiscus Hotl and Katomeris Beach house and you reach the sea. You will then be able to walk along the beach to Agnos beach and then Astrakeri Beach. It is a bit of a walk but for keen walkers it will be OK just take water as there aren't any pit stops until you get to Agnos and Astrakeri.
