The radio reported that these strong warm winds are coming from Africa, and yesterday they were stronger and it seemed we were in the clouds such was the humidity. Having the whole beach from Roda to St Spiriodon to myself the sun was trying to breakthrough over the hills which were half hidden by the clouds. It was very pleasant and in just a polo shirt very warm. Returning home a few hours later the sun had gone and from Sfakera so had Roda and the sea, vanished suvh was the humidity. It stayed like that til sunset with just the odd glimpse of the sun try to breakthrough. The maximum was 23.6c.
Evening was similar but it was the moon we saw a short glimpse off before the clouds won and just after nine we had our first shower. There were several more through the night and the winds were very gusty. The humidity must be dropping as the minimum fell away to 17.1c.
This morning it is grey as far as one can see in all directions not that we can see Albania, and the sea at Roda looks so grey it almost matches the sky. The wind has eased, it feels fresh and by 7.30am it started to rain, nothing heavy but with the look of the sky set to be with us for a long time.

We’re looking forward to a bit of that weather, Dave - it’s warmer here in Bologna tonight, but it is raining. Over the last two days we’ve come from temperatures of -10C in eastern France and heavy snow in Switzerland. Can’t wait to be back!

Not so good yesterday Steve, the rains continued and got heavier, the winds stayed and the temperature kept falling yo 15.9c around 9am. Finally after nearly 4 hours rain it stopped but the clouds and winds remained. By mid afternoon there was some sunny intervals. The beach road was a mass of puddles, near to Sam's boats the waves had broken over the wall leaving seaweed on the road. Waves were crashing in and winds blowing off the sea. The maximum of just 17.7c felt more like 12c. Around 4pm we had another brief lighter shower, this time it could watvhed arriving from Karousades over the olive groves. The evening was chilly, large low clouds passing giving us glimpses of the moon and stars. It still felt colder than it was but at least the winds had eased. Minimum was 13.2c.
This Morning saw a cloudy start with a shower around 7am, clearing to let the sun shine in Roda. However there are almost black clouds to the west, grey to the right and a rainbow over Karousades so it wont be long before the rains return. Albania is again invisible due to cloud.

And so it was another early morning shower yesterday but it did clear the grey clouds away and left us with larger fluffy clouds. As the day progressed so the sunny intervals got longer but as we approached sunset the thicker grey clouds returned and by 6.30pm it was raining again, just a shower. The maximum did reach 19c and it was most enjoyable on the beach, other families were out enjoying a walk. There was some damage to the track by Ninos from the previous night, the waves have narrowed the track, still ok for traffic.
The late evening was cloudy with the odd gap revealing a star or two and it felt chilly in the slight breeze. A further small shower passed bye. Minimum 13.3c.
This morning we have a still fresh start with plenty of heavy grey clouds about. Albania is just about visible as a shadow. The sun is just about to rise. We are told thunderstorms due later.

Well again the forecast was wrong, the sun initially lit the clouds but as they moved past we had a nice day with little breeze and plenty of afternoon sun that enabled the temperature to reach 20.6c. The clouds thickened as evening set in and we had a heavy shower. There remained patches of sky between the clouds with the moon and stars shining. There were further heavy showers late evening and early morning, however the clouds kept the minimum temperature at 15.3c.
Today is forecast to rain all day and we have a blanket of grey cloud with the occasional glipse of blue. Early rumbles of thunder resulted in several short showers and some distant lightening. The cloud seems to be in two levels, low grey and above white and fluffy, the grey moving faster towards the east. At 8am it was 16.2c and spitting with rain.
Jan is due back today so your normal weather service will resume.

Thanks Kaz, just finished mopping up the balcony after todays lengthy thunderstorms. Also partly soaked dogs box despite plastic covers. Temperature fell to 13.8c during storms and there were the odd rainbows about. Sun came out afterwards and will be shining to welcome you when you return.

Maybe Jan not set up yet and making good use of todays drying conditions. Well the thunderstorm came and was several rolled into one with small lulls. I could see rains coming as first Karousades disappeared then the olive groves below were lashed with rain, in sounded like waves breaking on the beach. Then with the gusty winds it was here and blowing straight onto my balcony. In the break before the next black clouds and downpour there were brief rays of sun showing a raibow that would go in the blink of an eye. When the storm finally stopped mid afternoon we did get some sun, but where the temperature fell away to 13.8c in the storm it only was able to maximum at 16.5c. Evening saw clouds passing with glimpses of the moon and stars. The moon looking very bright as the thin clouds passed it then briefly vanishing as a darker cloud passed. There was a shower after 7pm and a further one later in the evening. The minimum was 12.9c.
This morning grey clouds and a nice breeze with the promise of long sunny intervals.

Good morning from Roda. It is a lovely morning here with sunshine through a hazy sky and a few clouds dotted around, the breeze from yesterday has died away completely and the waves are just gently rolling ashore. Albania is not quite as clear across the channel as you would expect for the winter, but there she stands across the green tinged sea topped with a few clouds. It is warm enough for breakfast on the balcony.
Yesterday was a day of sunshine, clouds and a strong breeze. The strong breeze sent the waves crashing onto the shore and you could hear the rumble of the stones as the undertow took them back. The sea was a lovely blue green flecked with some white horses. The breeze increased during the afternoon and there was the odd spit and spot of rain, but it didn't amount to much though some of the clouds looked ominous at times. The evening was much calmer altogether with a beautiful cloudy sky back lit by the almost full moon.
The temperature at 10am on Monday 14th November 2016 was 12.8°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 72%. Giving a dew point of 8°C , feeling fresh. Yesterday's maximum temperature was 15.8°C (real feel 16°C) and the minimum was 13.3°C , the dew point a comfortable 10°C. The maximum humidity was 66% and the minimum 59%
Sorry I have no data for this time last year.
The reported UV for today is 2 ( Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice.
The maximum temperature recorded by us in Roda in 2016 was 32.1°C (real feel 39°C) on 25th June. The photo I took of Corfu as we sailed passed in the storm two days ago. Very interesting crossing in the smaller ferry from Igouminitsa to Corfu Town.

Good morning from Roda. It is a grey, very still morning here and a bit on the cool side. The mountains of Albania are propping up a very cloudy sky across the flat calm greenish coloured sea. Our mountains are just about clear of the dark forbidding clouds but they are not as high. There is snow on the higher peaks of Albania that we can just about see from our balcony. There was a very brief shower of rain round about 10.30 that sent me running for my washing still hanging out from yesterday.
Yesterday was a mixture of sunshine and cloud, with more prolonged cloudy spells as the day progressed. It was cool, but felt quite warm in the brief sunny spells. The wind stayed benign all day. The hazy cloud cover in the evening prevented any real look at this 'super moon'. It just looked like a normal size moon to me. Because the winds were almost non- existent the evening didn't feel as cold as the night before.
The temperature at 10am on Tuesday 15th November 2016 was 12.4°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 77%. Giving a dew point of 7°C
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 15.2°C (real feel 15°C) and the minimum was 9.4°C , the dew point 8°C. The maximum humidity was 73% and the minimum 61%

Good morning from Roda. What a difference a day makes! We awoke to blue skies, sunshine, a flat calm sea and no wind. It was positively hot having our breakfast on the balcony. There is a touch of snow on some of the high peaks in Albania now clearly visible to us now the clouds have gone and the visibility a bit better. We are due a couple of days like this before the rain returns at the weekend.
Yesterday started off poorly, cold and overcast and it just got worse as the day progressed. By lunch time it had started to rain in earnest after a brief shower mid-morning. The afternoon was dreich! Wet and cold to the non- Scottish. The mist was filling the valleys in the late afternoon, but by early evening though the clouds were starting to clear and the rain stopped. The evening got steadily clearer but this resulted in a cold night with temperatures down to 9°C! The temperature at 10am on Wednesday 16th November 2016 was 10.4°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 78%. Giving a dew point of 6°C.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 13.1°C (real feel 13°C) and the minimum was 10.4°C , the dew point 9°C. The maximum humidity was 79% and the minimum 70%
