A beautiful day dawned on the 27th August for the marriage of Amy and Jamie at the town hall in Acharavi. It was a small party of just close friends and family that gathered to witness the civil service. The bride and groom were moved by the vows they had to take, they being much more than the simple formality expected. A couple of rounds of applause could be heard and soon the happy couple appeared. A quick kiss to seal their new lives together and they parted to separate hotels, only to be re-united for the real service on the lawn at Nino's on the Beach the following day.

Here is the next set of snaps of the wedding. They show the mother of the bride looking beautiful, the bridesmaids and the best man (sorry about the quality, was trying to dodge the photographer), the two little flower girls (one of whom just kept losing her petals), and the outdoor chapel already for the service. I will post some more soon.

Hi Linnie, I wish you had popped in for a drink. At one stage we invited a family of about ten Greek people in for a meal and gave them a bottle of bubbly. The next day they returned with lovely gifts for Amy. I remember standing in the road with trays of Prosecco passing them out to holidaymakers,I guess you missed that.

"The sea, or a glass of Prosecco - which looks the most inviting? Maybe I’ll just sing a song instead.” Judy Garland eat your heart out!
