Hi Tim & welcome to the forum, June is the most popular month for regular visitors, most days are very sunny with temps from the mid twentys up to thirty degrees but it is pleasantly cooler in the evenings, last night it was quite chilly down on the seafront. There may still be the odd bit of rain but it soon passes. Feel free to ask anymore questions that you may have to make your stay with us more enjoyable. pete.

Thanks for the weather info We have family travelling with us, can you recommend a good butcher in Roda? Or would you advise the supermarket? Thanks for your time

Hi Tim, I was warned off about the butcher in the village so we tend to use the one at the far end of the next village - Acharavi - and the two supermarkets there - Diellas & Dimitra - we've found all three to be very good, if you've not got a car they are all walkable, especially along the sea front, but best to do it first thing before it gets too hot. pete.

The nearest butcher to Villa Popi is straight across the road from where you are and 200m along the link road to the main Corfu Road. It’s right on the junction. Supermarket butchers are good too, as they are proper butchers working within the shops. The quality of meat here is excellent - none of this wet supermarket, pre-packageed stuff.

Thanks for your info, has anyone got any info on villa popi in roda as there is not a lot on the internet about it. Also we are having our 18 year aniversary and are looking for a good place to eat and to watch the sunset that serves Greek food and english. Many thanks

Kathwebber, one of our members stayed at Villa Poppi and was full of praise for it, it's just off the main road, a few minutes walk from the village. You can dine at various places along the sea front where you can watch the sun go down, Roxannes, The Dolphin, The Old House, Alexandros Taverna, The Newport, El Mar, all with a good choice of meals to suit all tastes. pete.

You can check out the tavernas/restaurants on Tripadvisor because everybody has their favourites but the reviews will generally point you in the right direction

If you scroll down the main forum page there are sections on the bars & restuarants, many of our members have left comments on each one. pete.

Tim I have replied to your pm - we are envious and back to staying in apartments but it was well worth the extra savings we needed in order to afford it! Enjoy!

Hey Tim, a very warm welcome to roda online. I couldn't help notice that you were interested in seeing the beautiful sunsets of Corfu, happy wedding anniversary when it arrives. Well if you were prepared to travel a short distance, I can highly recommend panorama restaurant 7th heaven in peroulades! Full details are on trip advisor should you wish to have a look for yourself. It might be better to go under your own steam, me and my husband celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary, we have been to the restaurant before, but, this was the first time we have been on a coach trip to the restaurant. Don't get me wrong the trip itself was perfect and as we remembered it. It was a bit hurried though as we knew we had to get a return coach back to roda, however, it was a gift from a friend in the village so we couldn't be anything but overjoyed with it. Hope this helps!
I also have stayed in villa popi, I'm Kathleen webber daughter.
Kindest regards Kelly
