Gil, I have to ask, where abouts is your new villa? Don't worry, we aren't going to call in!! it's just we lived in Nymfes for years, and I can't place where it is at all. We were at the top of the village (up the first road by the co-op to the top, turning left just before entering Nymfes proper) and in the words of the prophet could see b****r all apart from a very thin blue strip of the sea.

Oh, Gil!! that's not snow!! - You should have seen what we woke up to this morning ... we had to have a JCB to dig us out! No photos loaded yet, but I'll download them later and get a couple online at the next WiFi. After a final gyros pitta on the mainland, and a five hour delay in Igoumenitsa, we arrived at our first campsite near Rimini at midnight - thank goodness they let us in. The following night, the guy in reception in Salbertrand didn't think it would snow overnight, but he was wrong and it sneaked up on us while we slept. It was showing minus temperatures all the way from there to Chambery in France this morning, except in the middle of the Frejus Tunnel under the Alps where it rose to a tropical 21C - that melted all the snow and ice we were carrying!! We head north from Lyon tomorrow and local TV is showing light snow all the way. I've not started a blog this time, but I'll post here as often as possible.
