Hi again everyone, I am aiming this request at the Male species of Roda . As a first timer to Corfu I was hoping that one of you Gentlemen could point me towards the best local Draught/Bottled Beer available in Roda and the best watering hole in which to sample it. I thirstily await your reply, regards Michael.

Hi Michael.
If (like me) you are looking for real BEER, rather than lager, then you will probably have some difficulty.
Over the years I have come to the conclusion that the best 'near thing' on draught is probably "Mythos" which is widely available.
If you are happy with a bottled Beer then I would recommend "Corfu Beer(s)" . . .
Another very enjoyable bottled Greek beer is "Fix" - especially if you can find the "Fix Dark" option . . .
Hope this is helpful?
Rgds, Chris

I'm with Chris on this one - I love a long cold Mythos and my other half loves the Corfu beers especially the red label one.
regards, Kath.

I was afraid you might ask that Jason!
I'm not sure you'll believe this, but I honestly can't recall !!!
My guess is that it would be around about €2.50 a bottle (that's about £2.10 at today's best tourist FX rate of €1.19 to the £).
Maybe Pete (Admin.), who is living out in Roda, could check and give a more accurate answer?

I seem to recall that the big bottles (500ml) were nearer or about 3.50 euro each in most places. The red label and the black label are particularly moreish and well worth the price. I did drink quite a few so could be slightly wrong regds Tony

I think Tony is correct, you will pay more for a dark beer than a lager. pete.
