Sorry this review is so late - so much to do at work and at home since our return last week. We had a mix of weather - from very pleasant sunny days to 3-4 days of thunder/lightening and torrential rain. We sat in Crusoes with Sara and Eva one day and watched the storm coming across from Albania before making a run for it! It was fab! When we got off the flight in Newcastle it was 9 degrees and pouring down with rain - its the first time we have had to put the heating on when we have returned from our summer holiday!
We stayed at Venus apts again this year and on most days we were the only people sat round the pool - it was so quiet.
We had the pleasure of Pete and Debbie's company for the few days before they returned home and NO! Pete didnt show me any of the riddle photos - even though I told him that if he had I would have forgotten their location(s) within 30 seconds!
We met Ol'Salty and his better half at one FGT and a lady and her partner whose name(s) escape me. At the next one we met Kaz and of course Kath and Rob - who had also been on our flight out from Newcastle and who we bumped into a lot in Crusoes (hic).
Kelly had a lovely day working on the farm with Nikos and came back laden down with home-made feta and loads of fruit from their trees and lots of scratches to replace the ones she usually gets from work.
We tried Roxannes for the first time this year and agreed with all the reviews we had read - the food was lovely.
We were well fed by Lynn with our brekkies in Crusoes and had a great laugh with her, Kostas and Sara when she came in with the children. We were the only ones that could understand every word that Dot said but still didnt win the quiz (our best was 2nd place) but had great banter with Alex and Michelle.
We had a lovely meal one night at Pixeida with Sara and the
children and Kelly had a boozy night out with Lynn (from Crusoes) and her daughter Jaz.
Roda Park remained our favourite and we didnt notice any changes with the "atmosphere" and the service was as dodgy as ever!
As always, it was lovely to see Steve who looked very well this year (must be the love of a good woman Janiemou ).
Kelly is going back on Monday with James and has already arranged a night out with Rena and her husband and possibly another boozy night out with Lynn - so please keep an eye on her for me if any of you are there at the same time.
I think that just about covers it - we had a really relaxing time and didnt do a great deal and Brian and I are so envious of Kelly but there is always next year!
will go now before I bore you all to tears.
regards, Kath, Brian and Kelly.
