Hi all,
Was reading on a travel review site that you can hire a fridge for your room at Afroditi, does anyone know if you do this when you get there or via the travel agent and how much.
Thanks
Joolsd

Hi Jools, It would be easier for you do to it when you are there or before you arrive by email. Not much chance the travel agent could help you and even if they could they would simply add a premium onto the price you would have to pay. I would suggest you contact the Afrodite Hotel direct by email- i know thay are closed at the moment but on speaking to the staff when my wife and i stayed there in 2010 they told us they check their emails on a daily basis whether they are open or closed. The email for Afrodite Hotel is: just_2beautiful@yahoo.grWatch out for the little underscore in the address - it is correct! Regarding price, when we were there i think it was about 25 Euro's a week for the fridge. Anyway when you receive a reply from the Hotel they will give you the current price - then all you would need to do was email them back if you wanted to go ahead with the hire and a nice cool fridge will be in you room on your arrival. Hope this helps. Regards David

David I know it's a couple of years since I stayed at Afrodite but would I be right in saying the fridge was in the rooms already but locked.... i seem to remember if we wanted to hire it all you did was pay at reception and get the fridge unlocked.... I could be wrong as I get "senior moments"

No fridge in our room when we were there Vodkalil - but there again we arrived one the 1st of May - the first day of the season so maybe it was too early for them! Regards David

We stayed at the afrodite for a week last year and hired a fridge for the poeriod so that we could enjoy a drink on the balcony. The cost was 15 euro for the week. The fridges aren't massive ones and are 'disguised' as a locked small cupboard under the dressing table which is why a lot don't realise there's one there. If you rent one reception will lend you the key to unlock it, and then it will remain unlocked for the remainder of your holiday. I say small it was large enough for our suntan lotions a bottle of water and a couple of cans, so fitted the essentials in.

thanks everyone, normally do the independent self catering route but with cost etc had to do the package, been to the afroditi once before but was a few years ago now, a small fridge a bit of a bonus. Joolsd
