Did anyone see the BBC News this morning regarding a gentleman who booked seats on a Thomson flight, with the notice "Hurry on 3 seats remaining", at one price, only to find the next day when adding a relative to the holiday, the flights were cheaper, and no mention of number of seats.
A full report can be found at: TRAVEL FIRM THOMSON MAYBE BREAKING LAW
Has anyone experienced this themselves.

Thankfully not on a holiday flight Chris.
I have however noticed it frequently on KLM website when booking seats to Amsterdam but at least when they say only 3 seats left at this (whatever it is ) price on this flight they always clearly show the prices for seats on other flights the same day.
Sometimes these are higher sometimes lower depending on departure/arrival times etc.
The Thomson price statement is however a bit different and would lead you believe that you will pay the lowest price if you book now for a particular flight - however this is obviously not the case and needs to be looked at by the relevent bodies sooner rather than later.
Will Thomson go with the well worn trade argument that when you book a holiday from them you buy at that days advertised price and therefore it is deemed to be acceptable to you at the time of purchase -so the same should apply to seat sales as well?.
We can only wait and see.

I've seen that notice ..last 3 seats remaining at this price.... but never checked later to see if it got cheaper. I also noticed last weekend on Thomas Cook they were saying they had sale on which ended on Monday but when I checked the price of seats on thursday it was the same price as it was when sale was on last weekend!

When we booked our Sep flights our return flight had only 3 seats remaining, after booking I checked back and it had dropped to 1, and when I checked at a later date the flight back wasn't advertised so I think it was genuine (although what was funny was that they had to switch our aircraft on the return flight, so we ended up with a half empty 767!)
