Hi aussiechef. When I saw your post re cigarettes in Asda I was ready to race round and buy as many as I could so I checked them on-line to make sure. I can look forward to buying them in Roda in two weeks time instead. Happy holidays everyone!

Hi newtonsus, I feel like a complete fool with my mistake. Blame it on my name. In Australia, when we left the smallest cartons were 200 and went up to cartons of 400. So I thought when I saw cartons in ASDA, they were 200. Hoping not too offend anyone, am not blonde. If I have made another boo boo grovelling and apologising in 20 different positions. Bev

Answers to the perennial questions regarding tobacco allowances etc., such as yours RIKK, are very clearly defined and simply explained on the GOV.UK website which you can access by clicking on the link below . . .

Hi Rick, before we moved out here I used to bring back enough cigarettes in 2 visits to last me for 12 months, there are no limits as long as they are for your own use & not to sell on. Prices for "English" brands vary from 35 - 40 euros per 200 depending on which brand you choose. pete
