I think most 'self-catering' apartments have kettles - does anyone know of apartments that don't?

I can understand having to pay for fans & air-con but surely something as basic as a fridge & kettle should be standard when self catering pete.

I know some places don't have kettles, they have a small funny shaped pan thing instead (sorry don't know what they're called). Luv Jan xx

Don't know about Ninos, but I stayed self catering at the Oasis and had kettle and fridge included. B&B yes you have to pay for kettle and fridge. I had a kettle and fridge at Metallinos and at the Panorama.

I've NEVER stayed anywhere self-catering & not had a kettle & fridge included. That'd be a bit bizzare, I think. Cos isn't that what self catering is about?
Room only or B&B or hotels normally don't have any appliances, unless you rent them.

I agree with Pete, you can understand paying extra for air-con but surely a fridge and kettle should be included in self-catering accommodation - bizarre.
regards, Kath.

That's called a briki, Jan, and they are used all over Europe except for the UK. The smallest are used for making Greek coffee, usually on a tiny gas stove, but they are available in a wide range of sizes. The larger ones are great for boiling small amounts of milk. Very useful addition to ther kitchen.
