It may be of little interest to the majority of summer visitors, but many people do like to visit Corfu out of season. For the time being, the main route is via Athens and the best service is Aegean Airlines. It has just been announced that they will increase their UK services with extra flights from Heathrow to Athens from Sunday - doubling their current schedule from two flights daily, to four. Olympic has now cancelled all UK services.

On the local news last night they said that Aegean would make direct flights between London and Corfu in the near future (not sure exactly when) and also Easyjet would fly to Corfu in the winter - lets wait and see.

That would be really good news kdm. I can find nothing yet in the trade press announcements, but let us know if you hear more. I also heard very recently, and very positively, that Ryanair will be flying from East Midlands to Corfu by late May. I can find nothing about that either and Ryanair have been cutting flights.

That would be great news, it is so hard to travel to and from Corfu in the winter, long stop overs in Athens have been made shorter but a direct flight would definitely be a good thing

Easyjet schedule on their website shows they will be flying from Gatwick right through until February 2012 but their timetables will not be available until 5th November.

Sorry to put a damper on it Laurence, but Easyjet's site has looked like this for a few years now, come November it will say " no flights available" - hope i'm wrong this year. pete.
