The sea is low at the moment, but there is clear evidence that Roda's beach is growing. With the northwesterly drift, one can only assume that one day we will have Sidari's beach! ;D

how come there is a random magpie in one of your pictures steve, you sure your in roda hahahaha. Either that or the magpie is clearly lost and though this was whitley bay

Don't you work at a vet's practice Kelly? - isn't that a business that deals with animals? - shouldn't you have a basic working knowledge? Strange magpies in Whitley Bay - that ain't no magpie, it's a hooded crow! Steve

So what member of the crow family is this one, Kelly? Also seen late this afternoon on the shifting sands in Roda's harbour.

is it male long billed curlew? hahaha don't often see a lot of wildlife lol - it may suprise you but the members of public surrounding gateshead don't seem to care.
