Walking through the village tonight about 6:00pm, and it is amazing just how many places are open in the winter. Starting with Nino's on the Beach, Ammos Bar, Five Roses and of course Pirates', there are still plenty of watering holes if you walk in from the east. In the village itself, Sandy's Arms was opening in the old road and, turning the corner, Poseidonio, Mistral, Vibe, Dimitri's Grill, Oscars, & Stella's Bar. Estrella's pizza oven was flaming away, Alfa supermarket was open for business as usual, the lights were on at Penelopi and Nemo was enjoying yet another children's party. Further inland, Drosia is about to re-open after a short winter break, Roundabout is open, as is Cafe Vista, the two grill rooms, Tropicana, Roda Stop, Electropolis and Tasso's supermarket. In addition, there is the gymnasium, the hairdressers, the pharmacy, X-treme, the butcher, the betting shop, the DVD & fishing tackle shops, the bike shop, the vegetable shop, the pet shop, the shoe shop, Mediterranean Corner, Roberto's, the BP garage and probably others that I have forgotten. Not exactly a ghost town when you think about it.

Roundabout Bar is open every evening and three days each week. Hilary has quite a few regulars on the days she is open, including a Greek language class on Wednesday.
Adonis at Drosia has been taking a well-earned rest for a few weeks, but with alterations made and tables set, he is ready to re-open this week - maybe. It is one of the most popular places for locals & ex-pats alike.
I think Pixida may still be opening at weekends too.
