Many of us know 'uptonogood' and his love for Roda and just as I was checking in tonight he appeared in person on Channel Four News in the middle of a tribunal dispute which continues still in an interview with no less than Vince Cable. Good luck to Tony with his personal crusade.

Many of us know 'uptonogood' and his love for Roda and just as I was checking in tonight he appeared in person on Channel Four News in the middle of a tribunal dispute which continues still in an interview with no less than Vince Cable. Good luck to Tony with his personal crusade. Thanks very much for the kind words. I was interviewed for about half an hour in total, but they only broadcast barely a minute! I had no control on the bits they showed. Bottom line is that the government wants to make it much harder for workers that have been mistreated by their employers to have their cases heard impartially. Whilst many employers are very good at dealing with their workers, sadly some are not and Employment Tribunals are their to deal with these issues. Of course there are some people also that lodge vexatious or ridiculous claims. These however, are fairly rare and can be struck out before incurring too many costs. The government wants to introduce an upfront fee and also make a rule that you could only take a case to tribunal if you have been with your employer for 2 years or more! I now work for the GMB Trade Union and believe passionately in workers rights. My love for Roda knows no bounds and this website is so important in keeping in touch when I'm not there. Thanks Tony
