As it is Sunday, and you've all had an extra hour in bed, here's a little 'blast from the past'. We can see where it is, but who can tell us who it is, and can anyone identify the car?

What a great photo! Haven't got a clue who the man is but Mike thinks the car is a Fiat 500. Nikki

We also think that it's a Fiat, Nikki - and a convertible at that. But where are the doors?
We've no idea what year it was taken - does anyone know when tourism first came to Roda? Having shown the photo to one or two in the village - even the venue seems to be hard to identify. We thought that was easy, but do you know?
Clue - we believe that the man's wife's name was Stamatela.

Can't answer the questions - but that's got to be the first "air conned" car in greece. pete.

It does look like the harbour bar but.....before they built the bar around 1986ish it was a villa that the family rented out to holiday makers and this picture looks like it could be some sort of taverna or bar. Could it be The Dolphin or The Kind Hearted Place? I have no idea about the car or the person

Well done, Tracy - of course it is the Dolphin - the oleander trees are still there and they don't seem to have grown very much. So what year was it? - we don't know ... & the man with the air-cooled Fiat?

I didn't think it was the Harbour bar, as when we first went to Roda in the 80's there was some kind of ruin outside the Harbour bar, if I remember rightly!!

The car looks a bit like this 1965 Fiat 'Jolly' complete with wicker seats!

It was the tree that gave it away ;D Im now trying to think who the person could be.... I cant be Nicos from the Dolphin as he has hair!!! Could it be a young Nikos Pangalos from the Kind Hearted Place?
