I've been hearing that the power in Roda was down for 30 hours, due to weather conditions - came back this morning apparently!
Can't imagine being without power for all that time! Must've been a nightmare!

Exactly, Kaz. Cos the weather was stormy, so they wouldn't even be able to get out & about. I don't think I could cope!

Just hope my house in Karousades weathered the storm. I heard that everyone is saying it has been the worst storm on Corfu, trees down all over the island especially up north, and the electric company are getting workers over from the mainland to help fix the lines?? Has anyone got some up to date news from Roda and surrounding areas. Hope everyone is safe.
Best.
Andy.

Thanks. I did have someone who aired the house out once a month, but they let me down in July, as our neighbours said they hadn't seen the person for a couple of months. I may ask one of the neighbours when I am out in April.

Oh No! - only just seen the forum reports. 90 km/h North winds will wreck my front balcony! Chairs everywhere - hope Petra had the sense to go around the back! - she may be in Kavos now Steve

andy I don't know about Karousades, but in one the villages higher on the hills a few roofs were badly damaged, so I heard. steve: in another topic I commented about all of Pipitsa's outside furniture...already during the october-storms I had to "rescue" some cushions, the wind had blown them off the chairs......she didn't store them yet, wonder if she has done this by now. I don't think her november - or christmas-customers will be using these. When are you flying back to Kerkyra Steve? Maybe you should wait until after the weekend so the storm in northern europe will calm down.....Danny left for Milano, Italy in the early morning today and he had a lot of turbulence the first part of the flight.
