HI
Just back from another wonderful holiday in Roda. We stayed in Spigos apartments behind Maggies and they were average, a good sized studio, we weren't too cramped but standard basic facilities in need of a bit of updating however they were perfectly situated for access to all our favourite places. We caught up with lots of old friends and it was lovely to see Michelle and Gina livening up the roda crown. We tried and loved Oscars the food, service, furnishings and atmosphere were great ( lovely toilets lol), ate at Roda Park, Opa, Odysseus, grill room, Roxannes, Estrellas and La Madera for my sons 17th birthday, every meal was great. Estrella's was fantastic, and my favourite place to chill this year was Roxanne's watching the sun go down and chatting to the lovely staff there, Hi to Stathis, George, Stephanos and Kostas, see you next year. We spent our days at the panorama pool always clean and relaxed and watched little Nikos run everyone ragged! Usually ended our evenings at the Mistral and I was persuaded to do a few numbers on the karaoke while my eldest caught up with his friends back at home via their free wireless. the weather was fantastic, and the atmosphere great, we did watch some tributes, some better than others! but I was concerned for our greek friends by how quiet it was especially the first week of our holiday. Eleni at Opa mentioned that this summer needed to be good for them or they were not sure if the could continue next year.
We missed the FGT's cos we couldn't find it the first week and I was just too chilled and laid back to walk to theodoras for the second week (some would say too lazy!)
As usual I cried as I left and am still sad now, one day I want to be back in my true home for good.
