Because of the road widening, there are one or two new signs around Roda this year. If you fancy the best homemade pizza you have ever tasted, and a range of pasta and other Italian dishes to die for, then look out for this one:

As Lynda says , Steve - it is in the new parade opposite the photographic shop. Julie had hoped to load a new page for them today, but there must be a problem. Litsa, at Estrella, makes everything herself, including the pizza dough. Many of the recipes are a little bit secret and the garlic bread with cheese is a must to start with. You will not come away hungry and it will not break the bank. Try it early in your stay, in case you want to go back. It is mainly pizza & pasta, with a few little extras like calzone. Everything is cooked in a traditional wood pizza oven.

They do an amazing potato, ham & cheese thing too. Think it's on their starters menu, but it's MASSIVE & once you eat that, you don't have room for anything else.
Great wee place & as Steve said, the prices won't break the bank.

Jacks is right about the portion sizes - Julie & Steve warned us about them last year so we shared a starter - but we still could not eat all of the main course and definitely couldnt have a dessert - we thought they might have made the portions smaller this year ! The food was delicious and we would recommend it.
regards, Kath.

Kath, I couldn't believe the size of that starter - and I had a pizza coming for my main course! lol
Next time we went, we actually just had one of those starters, each & that was it.
